Saw the resemblance before reading your comment...Glad am not the only one.
After editing and viewing my video with this car, I can say that I have not paid attention to many details.
The reason for it is because it is not a commercial\paid video. It's not a professional review either.
However, these are the things I like and those I would see improvement with:
1) Steering, really direct especially in the sport mode.
2) Safety: Even at top speed, this car is super stable, air flow is well managed by the car body.
3) Car Design: It took me a bit to appreciate the lines of this car. I did not get the love at first sight, until I paid attention at its front, with the black grid and this big ass Maserati logo!
1) Brakes: A heavy car definitely deserves stronger brakes.
2) Engine: Even though it is a great reply to Macan and Range Sport HSE, I would love to see less Diesel and more Petrol engine.
3) Some details: even if it has all the comforts, I would have rather loved to see metallic paddle shifter, behind the steering wheel and the same thing goes for the electric seats buttons. A 50k Audi A5 has better quality than it.
For the rest, a great car and I cannot wait to drive the next model!
So the consensus to be had here is that the Jeep bits go into the Maserati about as well as apple pie goes into pasta. Got it. Took me a couple of goes to work out your paddle shifter gag too, but that is my problem.

The chrome trim on the bottom rear of the left-hand side rear door is not aligned with the trim at the base of the C pillar. Weird! Maybe the door was not closed but the apparent misalignment is quite visible at the end of the video (go to 12 min, 51 secs).
I see what you mean - I reckon the door may not have been closed properly and might be causing it to look like it's jutting out. We were rushing to finish before the rain came down and the we'd just done the back seat shot. Reckon the camera guy flicked the door shut then ran over to the next position and it didn't latch properly. RB
What might I ask makes Richard an expert?

Sure. The transmission itself is excellent, but the mechanism or movement of the gear knob itself is clunky. That lack of smoothness can really be felt when shifting from Drive and then into reverse and then back again - making parking or three-point turns a bit painful. The shifter in the Ghibli has the same issue. Hope that helps. Richard Berry

Man, you hooked me up to my Velar, and if I ever have regrets, it's the diesel. Although I got an active sound to make up for it, it's till not proper enough as a screaming Ferrari-derived V6.
