The F160 engine is very good. The ZF transmission is excellent as well. 300k+ miles shouldn't be a problem at all if the owner isn't a complete tool and neglects it.
Thank you! I’ve been talking to the Alfa/Maserati service staff about the Levante because I’m adding one to my little Italian collection. Nothing but great things from them. “Bulletproof” “solid” “tank” were a few comments. It’s a brilliant vehicle & as a filmmaker, this will be my transport. Thanks again for the great review!
I love my Alfa Romeo Stelvio, when I bought it everyone told me the same thing, it would be unreliable and fast depreciation etc. I cannot imagine anything else for the same price could have given me that much fun all these years. Done almost 70k miles, interstate road trips a few times, no issues at all, just regular maintenance, really enjoy the design and how it feels, even it’s just a L4. As the big engines are giving way to EVs, started to entertain the idea of Italian V6 or V8 recently, so glad your video popped up. I understand that joy and feeling eager to set the story straight, Levante is on my list. Bonus points on the Hornet, I saw a few on the road and they looked just like Tonale, now I know why! Great work, never thought I’d get through an hour long video on TH-cam 😂
What’s interesting about the window switches in Stellantis made vehicles, is that they started life in Mercedes-Benz vehicles in 2010 and Tesla was the first company to borrow them and then Stellantis put them in all of their vehicles. Now what that should tell people is that they are Excellent quality and reliable!!! They keep using what works.. simple as that!
What I forgot to say in the video was this, you can walk into any house in America and find the same light switches in a ghetto house or a mansion, no one cares.
They stopped using the Mercedes switches in the L series cars and Grand Cherokee in 2010...2005-2010 is when they used the Mercedes switches, totally different than the 2011 up Chrysler switches..
My truck has over 150K miles and it looks like it is brand new. This Maserati has 42K and looks like I just bought it new and it works perfectly. @@quasar3210

It's stupid to complain about shared parts. People are not complaining about Rolls Royce sharing parts with a BMW 1 series or Lambos sharing parts with a volkswagen or even the 5 series having the same infotainment as a base model 1 series. This was a stroke of genius for STLA. Other manufacturers have definitely agreed, it's cost effective business strategy. As a matter of fact, people owning these luxury cars are glad for the parts sharing. Why pay three times more for a Lambo waterpump if you can get it cheaper from a volkswagen? Consumers are the real winners here.

Hi Bob, I noticed your seatbuckle extender in the video...cause they are so dumb at Maserati they set the seat buckle so darn deep in that crevice. I own a Maserati Grecale: the design of the infotainment is horrific. So is the placement of the gear selectors and the stupid idea to have them as buttons. They are clunky and don't engage quickly. Also they are right above the touch screen for the climate control, which means the sensitive climate controls get inadvertently switched off/on. These design flaws wear you down over the time. - Do you enjoy having to hit the “accept” button every time? - In the Grecale, Tte audio mute doesn't hold. Many things like notifications in your connected phone make the music come back on. - Sadly there is a reason Porsche sells 4x more Macans than the entire annual production of Maserati. - Oh and I forgot: good luck giving your car to a valet. You have to give them instructions through the open window. The parking brakes only automatically disengage if you are wearing a seatbelt.
