I actually played this game with the creators, it is a lot of fun. Highly recommend. Also, hey geek and sundry do a look at Cultists of Cthulu. It's a board game that quickly became my favorite released this year.
Played this at pax west 2019, finally bought a copy to play and tried it yesterday. it's a good time. If i can make some recommendations to improve the game; relics in the Divination deck are kinda boring. I'd reduce the number or if i wanted to be radical, remove them entirely. the fiends are way more cool. as is, the game takes a good few hours to play with a full event deck of 10 cards+armageddon. If you want a shorter game, reduce the number of event cards you start with. other than that, my group had a great time with it.
The game looks neat, but don't get your hopes up ... if you want to buy it from the publisher's website and ship it somewhat further (in my case Germany) the shipping is almost as much as the game itself (60$ for the game and 55$ shipping).
This game is broken. The card draw mechanic is completely broken. I've played this a few times trying to fix it with house rules but it always ends badly. If someone has their first two turns with 1 or 2 purchasing power, they will be a non factor for the entire game and they will be miserable.
So I can't recommend this game since they did a Kickstarter to reprint this game and have completely ignored international backers we are massively behind schedule to receive our games and the company seems to be ignoring backers at this point.
