Very cool game overview! I'll definitely show this to my friends before playing. Yes this game is deep and might feel a bit daunting upon first inspection but I can not recommend it enough! Dungeon Degenerates has now taken over the top spot as my favourite solo game and has also been a hit with my gaming group. The best way is to just read the rulebook through once and then try out a few rounds by your self and everything just clicks in you head. The game also includes game reference sheets which are really great for those first few sessions.
Makes me concerned about the simplicity of games people are playing & their cognitive abilities to actually play real games. So much crying. Cry harder.

My son and I spent the good part of a day (about 6 hours) starting a campaign and had a blast once we got into the swing of things. Finished the intro mission and got most of the way through the second mission. The art is incredible and we had a lot of fun with it. The story is where it's at for this sucker.
So this is what an RPG Video Game would look like if converted into a board game. I am sure its fun once you really get into it, but it is very complicated when the computer is not handling all this stuff behind the scenes. Great job as always Becca!

Any explanation why there isn't any tabletop with Will Wheaton ? not saying anything negative about this upload per say it's just that what you guys did with Will was play the game , made it fun to watch and got me to buy some of the games purely of all the fun that was shown in those videos . It's not really complicated. It's just not streamlined or elegant like modern board games. Dungeon Degenerates hearkens back to the old school when gamers weren't proud to be nerds, when we hid our hobbies because we'd get the shit kicked out of us at school, and when the hobby was considered a dangerous, Satanic past time!
Dude it's not coming back, no matter how many times you and others comment about it. Wheaton doesn't like Legendary the new owners and has already said TT is pretty much dead.
i would like to say, that i love this format. but the games displayed are so complex, they need to be explained in 2 videos. if thats not a red flag for you, i guess you just don't know how this format should be running.. :x
It's actually less complicated unless you're talking about one the newer versions of D&D which are all about math and combat. Those are much more complicated. But if you're playing B/X, 1e or 2e, it's (usually) less complicated than Dungeon Degenerates.

And I thought "Vast the Crystal Caverns" was too sophisticated and convoluted (Which is a amazing game by the way.), only thing I like about this game is the art style. But by Joel's boot in a locker this looks complicated af. Probably gonna skip this one. :/

Actually more complicated than Arkham Horror, but for seemingly no reason. Honestly I'm astonished they got a script this concise on the rules down.
It only appears complicated (long rulebook, lots of card text) - it plays surprisingly smoothly.

The art is really great, but the game lacks focus! Too many separate features/mechanics makes it far too complicated for a board game.
