dire time of mass migration? Migration happened a lot in the last 1000 years. Where have you been? "destroying" a race? There's countries, there's people from countries, there's lighter and darker. How light can you be to get white? Does Czech Republic count as white?

Many years ago my Air Force buds and I played an epic game during a three-day weekend. We started early Friday afternoon and played till late Saturday. Each country had an overall Commander In Chief plus Army, Navy, and Air Force commanders. The Commander In Chief assigned overall goals and dished out the IPCs to each Force commander to use as required towards their assigned goals. We were dog-tired at the end, but what a game!!!

I played this with some friends while in the Air Force. We would start on a Friday evening and would play the same game throughout the weekend. At one point, I had a question about Heavy Bombers that was not addressed in the rule book, so I wrote to Milton Bradley and asked them. They replied, but I do not remember what their response was. It did answer the question, as I remember. If you are going to play this game, bring a bunch of Snickers bars or some thing else to eat, because you will be there a long time.
Becca Scott - Your video actually helped me to understand how this game works, and your enthusiasm kept it from sounding boring, which is - how can I put this - kind of easy to do with this game, lolol. And my name is Scott so that was a complete bonus!

Maybe because this video is not about the game. It is not a review and you will still have to read the rules once you buy it. So.. no real value, except for creator trying to make money on such content.
This gets you the gist of the game but just be known you WILL have a few times where you and other players take a 20-30 minute break to research a unique situation that isn't exactly covered by the rules. Such a good game. the old rule books just sucked, I can't wait to see the new rule book. hopefully it's better.
Really? My dad has an original copy of the game, and it's my favorite board game of all time. The rule books didn't leave that much out, but trying to figure out if you can exploit them is one of my favorite parts! Plus, I usually win those arguments, even if every time I do, the traitorous dice turn on me and my entire operation crumbles in one failed invasion.
"Sucked" may have not been the best choice of words. Maybe more ambiguous. All I know is every time we play there will inevitably be a 20-30 min argument of how certain rules can be interpreted.
I got this edition when it was first released and had the original. This edition is a great improvement. It is beautiful and plays smoother. It also has an END that doesn't require 14+ hours of play.

Got over 30 years ago. Together with some advanced research and troop development rules from a board-game magazine back then it’s still one of the best games.
me and my friends used to love to play this back when I was in High School. Took forever to set up. The game itself sometimes took a Long time too. but it was fun.
I always felt this game depended more on random dice rolls more than strategy. The best mainstream game of its kind ever made, but no substitute for the many classic Avalon Hill games that inspired it.
I’ve been playing A&A since the 80’s. IMO the biggest problem is that each country has 1, maybe 2, strategies for victory. If you don’t use them, and another player does, you lose. Which means, as someone who has been playing since the 80’s, I almost never play anymore because I know the game too well and it’s very hard finding other players of that skill level.
It's been years since I played but when we did we closed the Panama Canal because it was an automatic win if you took all USA navy to Britain as fast as possible. How to get people to watch a tutorial video of a historical wargame: Step 1: have a pretty girl narrate the video Step 2: sit back and watch the views flow in
I dont, this was made to teach us the game but on points like how planes work she skipped it and told us to use the rule book to learn how to play, which was what we were trying to avoid by watching this
I've still got a copy of the original boxed game, plus a copy of "Fortress America" as well. There is no "Italy" in the original board game (or the software version that came out in the 90's).
That's a fairly intense video. It's very creative and entertaining to watch for those of us who already know how to play. For someone just getting started I think it's too much information. I think it would take a 45min+ video with everything said here but sequenced with showing the board movements. The most difficult thing to impart to a newcomer is the scope of the decisions he has to make. Once somebody grasps that, then they are hooked for life.
I played A&A so much that when I sit down to play it my ind feels like the final scene of War Games where teh coputer is rapidly flashing through all the known strategies.
I mean, think about it, the United States GDP was 50% of the world economy during WWII. So you really need to add up all the other economies in the game, plus ten; and that should be the starting economy of the USA. Which would make a different game.
Rome in place of Napoli? Berlin in place of Warsaw? Since when Poland was in Inflants? Leningrad that far away from Ladoga Lake? *This map hurts. Alot.*
True! You know, just sayin', cuz so many of us are guys watching this cool new redhead... What if she took off her top? And bra? How would that affect our perceptions of her teaching style, and in fact if we heard her words at all? :) I would volunteer for that experiment...
I have a game called, Kings Campaign. It is a strategic, fantasy, board game system. 100% customizable. You will never play the same game twice. 2, 4, 8, 16, plus player compatible. Game times can range from an hour, to days if you want. It combines elements such as, Hex disks that can either create new world's in advance, or, line of sight in which tiles aren't placed until they are seen as the game progresses. 4 player versions can be combined to create huge games for tournaments. Fully customizable cards with booster packs. Fully expandable unit pieces with booster sets. King, and Queen you can level up and upgrade. Warwizards that can combine thier powers for stronger attacks. Warpriests, same, for stronger defense. Also, infantry, cavalry, warships, troop carriers, even dragons and elementals. Expansion packs include, orks, skeleton, zombie, and even pirate armies. To name a few. Finally, gold and silver mines. Fishing and farming. Even trade between allies for income. And keeps, castles and fortresses to protect your assets. Beginner rules, also expandable with optional rules for advanced players. As well as spies for intelligence, sabotage and assassinations. But wait, there's more..... It's all your if you want it. Finish what I started. I'm not asking for anything, I have everything I need. Contact me if your interested and have a great day.

Loved that game . . . we used to always play with house rules with no tile limits . . . took forever!
What a nice fun source. The game is also cool
How to get people to watch a tutorial video of a historical wargame:
Step 1: have a pretty girl narrate the video
Step 2: sit back and watch the views flow in
Step 3 ???
Step 4 profit!
@@Omalley69 ah ha ha ha ha,oversimplified fan/watcher i see
I approve of all of this. MOAR!
I dont, this was made to teach us the game but on points like how planes work she skipped it and told us to use the rule book to learn how to play, which was what we were trying to avoid by watching this
We use to play this game alot. An earlier version. Do your tanks still get to overrun?
I watched this from the future....it is very well done for a historical work. :)
Yes she's very pretty, but more important, it's her personality!! Watching Becca do her thing(s) is one of the great delights of life.
I don't remember this episode of Kimmy Schmidt?
1:33 exist
Me a German : I ignore that
I've still got a copy of the original boxed game, plus a copy of "Fortress America" as well. There is no "Italy" in the original board game (or the software version that came out in the 90's).
A great game indeed, but do you also have the D-Day version?!
We used to play an every person for themselves version, 5 players fighting each other.
*I have a weakness for redheads*
What the hell is Felicia feeding her daughter?? She grew up FAST!
Awesome shirt!
But I keep feeling that I want her to take it off... Why is that?
I like how this game is so similar to hearts of iron 4, even the dlc
dont you mean how similer hoi 4 is to this game the game very 1st came out in 1981
I am confused, this "How to with Becca" was actually informative.
What kinda version is this? A mix between 41 and 42? I have the regular old with only Japan and Germany as Axi
I love this game and can never find anyone to play with because it takes soooo long. Never thought I would see a review or how to video. Nice.
the future is not great, but at least there's storming area 51 to look forward too
What if they have anti aircrafts and roll a bunch of ones?
What now🤨
So.. I'm from your future. Hate to say that didn't happen.
Im from the future too there is a virus spreading around
@@jerrymcbride5589 Yep, can confirm that. Now everything must be done online.
Only an 8hr marathon, good luck finishing...
I just saw a beautiful redhead on the thumbnail, and never clicked so fast before
I mean, think about it, the United States GDP was 50% of the world economy during WWII. So you really need to add up all the other economies in the game, plus ten; and that should be the starting economy of the USA. Which would make a different game.
Risk was a fun game. Playing games like this with a group of friends is just as fun as any video game
When I played the game 40 years ago, same enthusiasm -different boobs.
Evil axis powers
**shows italy**
Me:
Me:wait, you serious?
Year barely a power 😂
Becca come back! I missed some of the..er.. rules... yeah, that's a good..."cough" excuse....
Im watching this from 2020! It’s not too bad in the future.
Rome in place of Napoli?
Berlin in place of Warsaw?
Since when Poland was in Inflants?
Leningrad that far away from Ladoga Lake?
*This map hurts. Alot.*
Is this who Tiny Tina grew up to be?
true fan right here
I love Becca so much
True! You know, just sayin', cuz so many of us are guys watching this cool new redhead... What if she took off her top? And bra? How would that affect our perceptions of her teaching style, and in fact if we heard her words at all? :) I would volunteer for that experiment...
Informative and super entertaining! Great job!!
And yes, I'm going to be that guy...
She is very beautiful!
Not only informative, but also highly entertaining...well done!:)
