My time in these vessels, 100 to 300 foot were times of amazement. Your video reminded me of those days, the overwhelming sights and sounds as the engine room hummed even as the ship lay at port. In the past cleaning the sliding contacts had to be done regularly, Wrapping the batteries with a thin sheet of gasket to keep them “aligned” was also one of the tricks. Last but not least, the light bulbs were “under powered”, so definetely not a Bright Star. The orange intrinsically safe ones were a bit better.

Main engine max RPM is 127. Same goes for the prop. No reduction gear.
