The fact that the scene where Tommy is talking to his father and out of nowhere Malcom screams was improvised makes everything even better, the actor who plays Malcom was supposed to say those things with a calm tone of voice but at the right time he decided to improvise and delivered that incomparable performance, you can even notice that the actor who plays Tommy was scared at the time because he didn't know that was going to happen.
At least he didn't do the improv stuff he does over on BBC and ITV, usually getting his dick out on stage. Google it. Barrowman got dropped from BBC1 for getting it out on Loose Women, and had an history of doing it on the Doctor Who set.
Malcom has so many retcons when it comes to that event. I have to speak in code both because of youtube and something else. How she originally passed would have made it impossible for her to have made the call, then there was a change in how he got the call during his flashback talk with Robert. Then it changes 2 more times. I figure it was probably a budgetary thing, they needed to use a specific set and couldn't afford to make another one. But I don't get how the writers thought they could get away with him hearing his wife dying with no one trying to help her. When he tels Laurel during their dinner that his wife caught one to the head. If that was the case how was people supposed to be able to help her at all? And she'd be talking in the phone? You can tell a story in which the impossible can happen. But a show should always do two things follow it's own rules and be careful with its continuity.
7:06 it's funny to hear you say that because I remember telling my sister "I think Eddie is gonna be the Tommy of this show" when we first started watching The Flash season 1 together.
Tommy's death makes any fan cry to this day, it's so unfair that it makes you angry every time you remember it. He deserved much better and I speak for many fans that we would put Laurel to die in Tommy's place in this finale
I still hate Laurel for going in her office after Oliver literally told her not to, moreover she saw the news, Moira said what Malcolm has planned. Of course Malcolm will speed up the process when hes exposed like that, but noo, she had some urgent work to do just then...
good lord I knew this episode was amazing but I really forgot just how much all time great moments are in here. Oliver's iconic escape from the place Malcolm had him locked up in, the conclusion to year 1 of the island stuff, the scene between Malcolm and Tommy where they listen to his wife's final moments, Moira's announcement on live tv, Malcolm just being an OP menace taking out dudes like it's nothing, detective Lance being suspended and actually working together with the Hood to dismantle the device and his emotional goodbye to Laurel, Thea coming to save Roy and them kissing in the middle of all the chaos and destruction, Oliver finally beating Malcolm, Tommy's death after saving Laurel and his final moments with Oliver, and most of all the plot twist that there was a second device. First time I watched this it completely threw me for a loop, this whole season Oliver has been the most overpowered mfer walking around and I never saw it coming that in the end the hero just loses. It's peak
This is easily a top 3 episode in the entirety of the Arrowverse. The ending being one of the craziest cliffhangers in TV with everything that happened
I loved this season finale and I think it's really interesting that the heroes lost in this one! Also, I see that you're on Arrow season 4 on Patreon, please don't stop watching Arrow. I know, it sucks but the show gets better, trust me.
So that's season 1 done. Pretty good first season for Arrow obviously but gotta say to a couple of weaknesses here and there, all that drama between Laurel and Tommy, but can't wait to see you continue to watch season 2.
Tommy is a bad friend, he is pathetic and weak, all was handed to him, he nether tried to understand Oliver, he wasent with Laurel until Oliver cam back

Malcolm is such a great actor

@venomrize5056 He's funny af in real life too, you should see his performance as a guest on the show "Would I lie to you?" dude is hilarious

One of the best scenes in all of the arrowverse. When I saw that live, I jumped. Shit was perfect.
“I’m starting to worry Tommy is an Eddie….”
Ooof 😅

Season 2 only gets better 🔥🔥🔥
Sure does, it's my favorite season, with the best villain!
The tommy prediction was crazy
yesse at the begin of the episode

@ yeah totally

Tommy villian arch begins 😂😂😂
The glades is like the ghetto of starling
great finale
Look, the season 2 finale is probably the best one in the show. That said, this is still my favorite. What a good finale this season had!
“I’m glad Tommy is gonna make it out”
Malcom was giving them the hands !!!!!
7:13 lol

🎉🎉
Cant wait for you to take on season two next. Have you come close to closing the gap on The Flash yet?
Question: will the TH-cam reactions for arrow eventually catch up with the flash like the patreon reactions will?
🔥
Tommy is a bad friend, he is pathetic and weak, all was handed to him, he nether tried to understand Oliver, he wasent with Laurel until Oliver cam back
Are you this stupid normally or do you try to be like that?
and he gets angry when he learned oliver was the arrow, but when it was his father killing people he doesn't even say a thing
