OMG, Lalah makes me cry everytime she opens her mouth to sing, especially one of her fathers songs, Donny Hathaway has got to be one of the best male vocalist of our times, his diction and powerful gospel vocals is synonymous with Whitney Houston who also infused Gospel with R&B into songs that reverberates into the spine and sends chills all through your body....I have much respect for true musicians like Lalahy, Donny and those who actually sing without all the studio & auto-tunes. Sometimes in life we are lucky enough to be presented with something so beautiful that it defies description. Words like Magnificent, perfect, sublime, etc seem much too ordinary. Miss Hathaway's performance of this wondrous composition is something we rarely see these days. She just literally stands there and simply sings, and that voice just pours over us like some decadent chocolate sauce over ice cream. I have to also say that young man on the piano is just stupendous. Discovered this posting a few days ago and I have played it over and over again.
