Classic songs told a story and took you through every stage of the situation. Classic songwriting and performance was about telling that story and making it make sense. If the song needed just space to let the listener contemplate, that's what they gave the song. Modern R&B is all screaming and yelling. There's no space. There are no instrumentals and no bridges, etc.
Lalah has absolutely unique vocals. She sings so sultry and uneffortlessly. Her vocals are definitely a God given gift. What a talent…. I know her father is smiling down on his daughter from heaven. I absolutely think Lalah is one of the best songstress of all times.♥️

But, I did truly enjoy and respect her take on a wonderful classic and it definitely deserves praises.
