Very motivating video, we claerly see the space changing, people improving website design, visuals, packaging but still not building actual brands.
This is 100 percent 💯… I lived this for my 2 brands that I sold to private equity… and I too predicted that the peeps we sold too would drive the brand down to be worth Pennie’s on the dollar. So tempting to buy it back but I’ve moved on to other brands I’m more passionate about and have a higher TAM.

Who is this guy?????? This is one of the first videos I've watched on TH-cam about business that was 100% accurate from beginning to end. Easiest follow on TH-cam. I EXPECT more content like this multiple times per day. That concept of a tiny bit of effort is the winning formula is soooooo true.

Hey Ryan, as always, I appreciate you sharing your insights. I want to apply what you're preaching rather than just learning but I'm at a crossroads with selecting a product to build.
One product is an "accessory" to a kitchen appliance, which I know wolves a pain point for others like me but can I build a brand based on a product that will likely be purchased once?
Find a person you want to serve and serve that person. You can have tons of products if you pick the right person.

As an integrated ai engineer at a global e-commerce company, listen, you still HAVE TO appease the upcoming AI algorithms. I try to post on LinkedIn , I’m not trying to self promote, I’m about helping the business owners navigate the very complex software space after working for multiple startups where the nerds covered 💩 up from the founders to protect their jobs while burning through VC $. As a real estate investor, I see the painful consequences of employees who are about themselves vs the business and as a tech nerd who’s not relying on my job for core of my living expenses, I see what it does to companies. So TRUST ME, you DO need to be able to straddle BOTH the upcoming AI and the humans
I think also, the very fact that they were owning more businesses that looked totally different could be a reason. They didn't have focus. They were doing too much, too little. There was not enough integrity. As a result, I think it became difficult to understand, connect and serve the customer, to build brand identity and so on, and this requires a lot of work per brand. THey should recruit me to help them 😛.
