On a 200 mile trip we avg 28 to 30 MPG on her badlands better with premium gas also non ethanol was even better. With turbo engines I've found certain speeds are better for economy. Found this on my 2018 f150 EcoBoost.
@@thybigballs regular for now. Use 90 non ethanol in my ecoboost f150 and got better fuel mileage. Some areas are using higher alcohol in the fuel now i believe.
I did the math and you put in regular. But Ford says the 2.0T... "Regular unleaded (premium recommended)" so that means all gas mileage testing was done by Ford with premium. Also you don't get the full 250hp and 277lb of torque with regular gas.
Thanks for sharing. It gives us an idea of how efficient the 1.5L engine (the one most people have) does on the highway. 37 MPG highway in a vehicle that's so upright is impressive. Are you using 87 octane gas or something higher?
The bronco sport badlands is a cool looking car, it is normal it use more gas thanother suv in its class, as it is really a off-road vehicle as well. The other are city suv. The bronco car drive in harsh condition.
27mpg for a body on frame SUV that can hang with the legendary jeep wrangler all day long, sorry, but there is no other substitute model from other brands. These were designed to be a lifestyle symbol and those who buy them probably intend on using them the way they were designed. Just my 2 cents…. Now let’s hear from all the coach potato youtube car gurus.
Unibody, not body on frame. Same basic platform as the Escape. Nor can it hang with the Wrangler in the most extreme situations. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk actual competes with the Bronco Sport Badlands. Like even the Wrangler, most are not used in off road situations. I don't know what delusional ideas you have but you seem to have alot of things twisted.
How does your foot taste with it in your mouth? Seriously you just made yourself look like a fool calling it a body on frame, which it’s not, and then calling everyone else a ‘coach’ potato… that’s not even close to being considered a typo. Once again since the unveiling of the Bronco Sport, you’re one of the thousands of ignorant NPCs that doesn’t read and mistaken this vehicle with the actual Bronco! Now talking about the car itself, it’s a good vehicle. Probably the most rugged and capable compact UNIBODY crossover on the market after watching TFL put it through the ringer. Something I wouldn’t mind driving at all and would breath easier when my wife is driving by herself here in south Louisiana where the rain comes down in buckets and floods everywhere. This can drive through 2 feet of water.

Also what state or elevation level?
Where are you located?
Hey man thank you so much for this real demonstration of the mpg efficiency I was wondering if what the sticker said was real.
Nothing like a nice run down I94 past Ann Arbor
You can't get lower trims with the 2.0, just the Badlands and First Edition, which is a Badlands with added luxury.
This is nice! Too bad about the microchip issues going on right now. I think a lot of people won’t be waiting around for it…
I agree. Surprising how Biden is in bed with China
Good video... People should do more like this with there car reviews IJS

It probably could get 28-29mpg with the recommended premium. But of course that's more money per mile, still best to run what's recommended.
comment on the ride quality and road noise! Good video!
We'll talk about that more in the full review, but both were better than expected! Pretty decent.
Decent number for eco mode. Have you tried normal mode?
Sorry. My 2022 Bronco Sport Big Bend MPG highway is.... 37 MPG That's my experience after 1 year

@@NickHsieh just regular gas.
was that cruse on or off
Did you use premium or regular?
I've heard you get better MPG off premium vs regular
Kool! Thanks.
The 2.0L Badlands is rated at 23 mpg per Ford and the 1.5L gets 26 mpg. So it did better than expected.
that's combined not highway

Use Shell gas only; best for turbocharged engines.😊
Nailed it out of the park??... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What’s so funny?
Realistic testing doesn’t involve going 70mph, nobody drives the speed limit on the highway
I do. I usually drive at, or five below. I get 34-37 mpg highway driving in my Kia Cadenza because of it.

26 mpg? my Silverado did 24 and that was a much larger vehicle.
Your Silverado also has cylinder deactivation...have fun repairing that after 70k miles
A Bronko with a three banger. Shame!
I'll stick with my 2010 Escape Limited. V6, 240hp, power, good gas mileage.
Except the one in this video has a 4 cylinder 2.0L. It has more horsepower than your 2010 Escape.
@@matthewgaines10 more than 240 HP? But probably not as good on gas.

Those freaking wheels, fake steelies has got to be the most dumb idea ever
I have to agree. If you want steelies, just get steelies and the benefits that come with them.
