The White Armies during the Russian Civil War

During the Russian Civil War, which took place from 1918 to 1922 after the Russian Revolution, the Whites were a diverse group of anti-Bolshevik forces that opposed the Red Army and the Bolshevik government. The Whites were made up of various factions, including monarchists, democrats, liberals, and socialists, who all shared a common goal of overthrowing the Bolsheviks and restoring a more traditional and conservative government. The Whites were supported by several foreign powers, including Great Britain, France, and the United States, who hoped to prevent the spread of communism. Despite their external support, the Whites were ultimately defeated by the Red Army, and their defeat solidified Bolshevik control over the Soviet Union.
