This was my father’s last performance before he died. He showed stellar strength during this performance. He was on oxygen just before and immediately after this performance! So proud of my father, the late Johnny Moore SIP 😥❤️
Wow you must be so proud of him..what an absolute legend...best voice ever and such a lovely persona and smile ,he radiates warmth. Look after yourself and family in these times.
Steven Humphries thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your memories of my father. Please take good care of yourself and family as well ❤️🙏🏽
Your fathers work has touched millions. His work means a lot to me personally. My dad is a drifters fan and would play his music a lot when I was with him growing up and when my mum was working he would play his albums and try to sing them and get me to do the same or backing vocals. It’s somthing that is made my dad and I have a strong bond. Your dad was a amazing singer and performer. My dad wasn’t one to go to gigs all the time but he’s seen your dad and a couple of line ups after mr Moore’s time in the group 9 times and I 3 times which isn’t bad going for us being the other side of the pond in the u.k. but I was never lucky enough to see your dad or meet him. Your dad is a true #legend and I thank him through you for the gift he left us with. He made a big impact on many people. may your Dad mr Moore rest in peace and his music live on.
@@willmann8645 i agree you must be so proud of your father i love to keep playing these songs you would not get another singer like Johnny moore such a shame he died
This was the last lineup I saw before JM died. First saw them in 1974, last time 3 months before he died and was fortunate enough to get a photo of him with myself, the last time he came to Grimsby UK. Still have that pic as a reminder of a legend
Johnny Moore. If ever I wanted a singing voice it would just like Johnny Moore; he does it easy hitting those high notes, the vibrato of the mid tones. Moe mai te Korokoro Tui (sleep in peace the voice of the Tui Bird of Aotearoa New Zealand).
Amazing voice and personality loved every performance I went to followed then from being 13 until Johnny died xxwhen he died the drifters died for me miss seeing the sparkling eyes to me he was Mr Drifter
Awesome singer and v under-rated. I saw him in the early 80s; he was pitch and tone perfect and still out-singing the other Drifters. Effortless till the end, he created so many musical memories for many people.
so sad to watch . You can see the pain etched in Johnny's face but like the ultimate professional he was he gave us one last performance. Rest in peace Johnny you were the best ! always remembered and never forgot .
I grew up listening to the Drifters and still play them every day, so many special memories come flooding back. Johnny Moore, my all time hero, THE best voice ever, love the guy, and what a performance this was, heroic… ❤
Don't watch this if you want to remember Johnny Moore as he was at the peak of the Drifters carreer. It is so sad to see how he is struggling to sing this old hit, only weeks before his death. RIP Johnny!
Saw him in his prime in the 80's with Ben E King beside him, a 6 piece band behind him, and audiences eating out of his hand. He had a lot more weight on him. That is how I will remember him, not this.
Fully agree with Rick: You should change the title to: "Johnny Moore & the Drifters' last performance of 'Kissing In The Backrow Of The Movies'! Who cares who Jahson is: an unknown Drifter!
LEGEND, I saw him live three times during the 70's at Baileys in Leicester UK. The drifters by then had become a brand with so many great singers but for me Johnny was Mr Drifter. My fantasy drifters line up would be Johnny Moore, Ben E King, Charly Thomas, Rudy Lewis and Bobby Kendrick's.
Mr Mcphatter was how they all came to be and a great singer who came to a sad end, as did Rudy Lewis throwing himself out of a seventh story hotel window.@@keithcampbell6806

Johnny still had that voice right to the end.
This was the last lineup I saw before JM died. First saw them in 1974, last time 3 months before he died and was fortunate enough to get a photo of him with myself, the last time he came to Grimsby UK. Still have that pic as a reminder of a legend

Greatest group of all time over the years no matter what lineup ❤❤❤❤
Quite possibly the greatest singer who ever lived - any and all genres!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Johnny Moore was The Drifters voice for ever!!
Don't watch this if you want to remember Johnny Moore as he was at the peak of the Drifters carreer. It is so sad to see how he is struggling to sing this old hit, only weeks before his death. RIP Johnny!
Love you, Johnny ❤️
ben e king and johnny moore best drifters singers ever!! even though his looking old, johnnys voice will never die!!!
He was sick
THE BRILLIANT JOHN MOOR.
They were great times working with Johnny. Sadly he was not too well for a few years before we lost the legend !
Bet that was amazing singing alongside true legends. A dream come true ??
What a guy.. 🙏🙏
Johnny moore was the drifters 🙏🙏
Just one word......"superior"
Very sad to see him like this but still quality
You should change the title to: "Johnny Moore & the Drifters' last performance of 'Kissing In The Backrow Of The Movies'
Fully agree
Still brilliant
any member of the drifters ill listen.r and b great
Saw him in his prime in the 80's with Ben E King beside him, a 6 piece band behind him, and audiences eating out of his hand. He had a lot more weight on him. That is how I will remember him, not this.
Ive met Jahson a few times. Nice guy good singer aswell
Fully agree with Rick: You should change the title to: "Johnny Moore & the Drifters' last performance of 'Kissing In The Backrow Of The Movies'!
Who cares who Jahson is: an unknown Drifter!
Big up for Rohan, Jonney's protege
protege?
who is in this line-up besides johnny? Rohan Turney? Jason Leigh? or...?
The title should be changed to put Johnny Moore on the foreground. Hardly anybody knows about Jahson.
jm doesn't look himself here....

Great lineup but l would replace Charles Thomas with Clyde Mcphatter for my lineup.
