Personally, I like the L-Shape because I can have 2 screens on one side and then if I need to write or do something on an empty space, I can use the other side. Great vid :)
Awesome to hear! I like the input and yeah they both work for everyone differently. That extra space on the other side really does help with productivity! Thanks you for the feedback :)
Still in high school. An L desk sounds ideal for me and I'm planning on keeping all of my pc parts on one side and books/school stuff on the other side.
if you're still going to school and planning to go to college an L desk will definitely suit you better than a straight desk you can game one side and fit 2 monitors while doing assignments on the other side without the hassle of a keyboard being in the way
Siren thanks for the tip, I actually got a small l desk for my school stuff and a large side table for my setup. So basically a long L, but I got it basically for the reasons you said.
I use an L shaped desk and it is the best setup if you have to do writing or anything that’s not computer, but also you could still have a computer on the other side
Corner desks should always have walls on the back, so you can hide the cables. They are better if you have a bunch of gadgets, monitors and consoles. If you are into streaming, corner desks will help a lot
One thing I didn't like about the video, I felt there was a bit of bias in the pictures you chose. You'd deliberately show a straight desk with perfect cable management and no clutter, then show a corner desk with 6 monitors and no cable management to prove your point. Good video on the whole though!
Also worth considering the corner desk! Especially if you’re like me who likes a lot of leg room and freedom to have stool or something to have under your feet. :) Good video!
I was going for the Linnmon / Alex, but shipping absolutely killed me. The shipping was over $300. So I broke down and bought a cheap L desk from Wal-Mart, just until I'm ready to put down heavy cash.
i mean both could fit in my room but i do have to do school work everday so i think ill have my gaming stuff on the longer side and my laptop/ school books on the other side
Straight are better if you have space. It owns more place, but at the same time it look that they save space - strange situation :D Probably because, as you mentioned, it isn't that cluttered. Now I have two desk straight and of course the thing which I don't like now is that there is wooden "wall", so i cant use two pc at the same time comfortable. Looking for very long straight desk :D
I like my L shaped desk because I have my monitor in the corner of it with the keyboard and mouse directly in front, when im gaming I sit with my stomach in the corner facing the corner of the desk this allows me to rest my arms on either side of the L shape. much more comfortable after gaming for a while
i would rather have an L personally because i have a 2 monitor set up pc on the longer side then just my ps4 in the left and enough room to do work to fit my lap top or clip the mic to the side of the desk
great vid it helped alot saying I have a coffee table and a beast pc Sat on it. btw because I have a H shaped house would you recommend a U shaped desk or just an L. P.S I love your wall
i was wondering why this desk felt so weird and i was playing so bad, all my laptop gaming has been on a stright school desk, but this table is curved it's why some spots feel good and some feel bad
I have L desk. Couldn't go any other way. I have my personal computer on one side and my work computer on the other side. But I don't have it in the corner. Long side faces the wall and the Short side turns into the middle of the room
I have a stupid question, what's been on my mind is how long am I supposed to have Mt desk to fit my gaming monitor and keyboard?. Is 15in good enough or do I need more room.
the ceilings are triangular in the rooms i can place my desk in. What should i try to do? btw the wall is flat up until 40 inches off the ground, then it is triangular from there.
What kind of desk works best for you guys?

I've wanted a L desk for a while, but with the room I have, I'll probably go for a straight desk for now.
I used to have straight desk before then I change to L-Shape I need space .
I want 2-3 monitors on a black desk can u link me a reasonable desk max £70??
Definitely L desk. I can keep gaming stuff on one side, and my books on the Seven forms of Lightsaber Combat on the other.
Angled desk to keep the high ground
@@heromaxone2993 also to keep the sand on the lower end. I don’t like sand

L desk can be like a straight on one side with dual monitors, the left can be for utility, papers, printer, camera, laptop, etc.
Corner desks should always have walls on the back, so you can hide the cables.

what makes corner desks better for streaming?
#LDeskMasterRace for me :P
Nerd on a Budget now in a year their are going to be a controversy about L desks vs Strait desks
One thing I didn't like about the video, I felt there was a bit of bias in the pictures you chose. You'd deliberately show a straight desk with perfect cable management and no clutter, then show a corner desk with 6 monitors and no cable management to prove your point.
Good video on the whole though!
I have always had a straight desk. Good tips/info etc.
The topic about the circular room got me cracking up HAHA
Do not forget, that with 2 straights you can make L-shaped, you can make one side longer or another, you can basically do whatever you want.
muhahahahahah I´ve got a straight desk in a corner :P
oliver roller you sir are rebellious

really? $300? are you sure about that?
Fr just build you own desk lol
Yea agree I have straight desk gaming editing great video friend thumbs up
Thanks Josh! Yeah straight desks are easier for my taste
I spent 3 months deciding the pros and cons of both variations...
I can definitely understand that
@@jdtechgear pardon me for hijacking this comment, I just wanted to quickly ask how you got your PC boxes mounted on the wall if you can still recall?

my thoughts exactly
I like your approach to doing videos and your way of addressing topics you have gained a sub!!
ChillSource thank you so much!
You're very calm
To put it simply,
Straight= Basic, everyday use.
L-Shaped= MORE SPACE, Productivity, Multi-tasking.
i would rather have an L personally because i have a 2 monitor set up pc on the longer side then just my ps4 in the left and enough room to do work to fit my lap top or clip the mic to the side of the desk

P.S I love your wall
for a smaller type channel you have very quality content
I think the best of both worlds is two straight desks put together in the shape of an L. Is it a straight desk or L desk? Yes.
i was wondering why this desk felt so weird and i was playing so bad, all my laptop gaming has been on a stright school desk, but this table is curved it's why some spots feel good and some feel bad
Pro tip, use a headset and not speakers for gaming.
Aikano9 that’s exactly what I do cheers man

what are good dimensions for a straight desk for a dual monitor gaming setup?
Very helpful! Thanks for the great vid!!!
mxlaing15 no problem :)
Being cluttered/unorganized is not the desk problem regardless of the shape/size, it's the user.
I have a stupid question, what's been on my mind is how long am I supposed to have Mt desk to fit my gaming monitor and keyboard?. Is 15in good enough or do I need more room.
thx I will buy the L shaped desk thank u so much
