Very interesting walk seeing what's open and the people out and enjoying themselves. It seems like a very chilled Sunday. 🙂

Good to see more folks coming out, slowly. a boost for business! We were out on the road to Liloan today, we were so surprised to so many folks out on the road in spite of high and rising gas prices!!

Thanks for showing the menus and restaurants. Abaca Baking Company also sells Exceptionally high quality food and pastries, not only Coffee, attracting heavily American and foreigner customers. It is pricey, but all the fantastic meals are prepared and made from scratch on site, including all the bread and pastries. Their egg omelet and veggie scramble are crazy good. Always expect the unexpected there. They always surprise me. They make the best Danish Cheese Pastry I ever had in my life, and I've traveled the world, and a crazy good breakfast and lunch place. Mango shakes are great. The Pancake House has excellent pancakes, and the best Blueberry Pancakes in the Philippines.

Nice tour walk update. 22 minutes in: Lemon Grass was always my favorite place to eat when touring the very fine Ayala Mall,...all PRE-pandemic madness.(!) 😷🤕🤔

I got here from the U.S. in February 2022. I did not see may foreigners until about 2 or 3 months after I arrived here in Cebu City. From Feb to April 2022, about 98% of the foreigners I saw here, in my opinion, were not really "tourists," but here to meet their new girlfriends or wife they were separated from. Many like me are retired and will be staying here in the Philippines -- I'm a permanent resident. Around May and June 2022, I started seeing a growing number of "regular tourists" that were unaccompanied and touring and looking for fun and adventure. However, there are not many of them. There is still some risk to traveling. Just recently, a number of couples who were foreigner and Filipino residents of the Philippines, left to go to Singapore and other places for a vacation, and when they tried to return to the Philippines, they were turned away and deported back to Singapore. The Philippine Government IATF keeps changing travel requirements almost weekly, and some are getting caught. Now it is fully vaccinated plus a booster shot, or if no booster shot, a Covid PCR test or Antigen Test prior to flying back to the Philippines. They did not receive the latest IATF change, and neither did some airlines, and approved their flights back to Manila who kicked them out of the country for not meeting travel requirements. They had to pay for another flight back to Malaysia, wait to take the testing, then another flight back to Manila when they were finally permitted entry. I live in Cebu City Philippines, and I'm afraid to leave the Philippines that I might not be permitted back in after waiting 2 years to get here.
