I never knew Filipino food was like this. What an wide range!! That grilled fish, those sea grapes popping in your mouth, the lechon with vinegar and chili pepper. The fried organ street food. Incredible. I also love how vinegar is used as a base for pretty much all of the dips. So refreshing on the palate!
When I was in the Navy back in the 1980s one of the first places I went was to Subic bay in the Philippines… I’ve got such fond memories of the wonderful people and the food was delicious! It was back before the Internet and everything felt so exotic…
This video made me emotional and brought me back to a different time when my dad would make this delicious food for my mom and I thank you mark for bringing me back too a happier time.
Cebuano Foods are very simple, yet a taste blast! The Mais is very underrated but only true blue Cebuanos loves Mais so much, true blue Cebuanos cannot live without Mais!😍😍😍
In South Africa we have a similar dish to the corn dish, we call it pap or bogobe and in Zimbabwe they call it sadza. It’s a Southern African staple made with maize meal (corn that’s been dried and ground up to a fine powder). We eat it with almost any and every meal, the same way some Asian cultures have rice or noodles with almost every meal.
A lot of foreigners are either shocked or disgusted when trying local food becuz they don't know how to eat them. This right here is the local way of eating native Filipino delicacies. Great job by the guide and kudos to Mark for blending and digging in as always. 👍👍
Holy smokes this looks so tasty 🥲I've been waiting to pounce on the next Phillipines episode, and this does not disappoint! Fish looks incredibly flavorful and fresh, and I am super intrigued with these sea grapes. Gotta try them!
I love your channel because you’re not afraid to try exotic foods that not many people would be courageous to eat. I respect their culture, another great video
