Third time nursing mom. Thank you for this video. This is great and good reminders even if you've done this before. I had mastitis once with each other baby. Hoping to avoid it this time

Hello! Really enjoying your videos as a first time mom. Question about the haakaa - if I'm only getting about 10 mls of let down, is it helpful to use it to increase my supply? Or should I let it be for now since it's only day 5? Thank you!!

I was gonna use the haaka but after hearing ur thoughts about the issue of having an oversupply, I reconsidered. When is usually the right time to build a freezer stash?

Hi! Thank you for these videos. They are soooo helpful! I am on day 4 so this information is very much appreciated! I have a question: how long should cold compresses stay on the breasts? Also is hand expressing helpful for engorment and if so, how long should you do so for?

I think I may have done exactly what you said about an oversupply from overusing the haakaa because I didn't yet have an actual pump and was desperate for relief. Any tips on how to correct my mistake because I'm in just a world of pain right now :(((

Wean it back slowly. It depends on how far you are postpartum, if you’re baby is eating well, how much oversupply you do have, etc. But just start cutting back slowly!

@@NewLittleLife I was about 5 days PP when I first commented, now 11 days and I feel way better! Baby has been eating well. I was pretty engorged, to point of pain all day and night. Now it seems like I only run into engorgement during the night when the baby sleeps his longest. Finally got my pump in and between that and a semi regular feeding schedule I'm in a much better place. Thank you for your advice!

Hi Allison! Great video. Do you have any advice on how to deal with a bleb that keeps coming back in one spot? My lactation consultant told me to soak it and then gently rub with a clean wet towel and then take coconut oil and try to hand express it out the nipple before feeding. I also take soy lecithin to prevent clogs as that was an ongoing problem with my first baby. Is there anything else you can recommend cuz it just keeps coming back and it's painful. It doesn't seem to lead to a clogged duct or get worse but I know it's not a good thing to have linger. Thank you!

Sounds like your doing all the right things! I’ll keep my eyes out for any other suggestions for you though.
