Thank you so much for making these day-by-day videos! There is a lot of breastfeeding information out there but nothing that breaks it down like this. So helpful!

Thank you for making this series! I'm about to do this again and it's been almost 3 years since the last time. It's so easy to forget how things went in the very beginning.

Your videos are helping me so much. I'm 27wks pregnant, but have never had any exposure to breastfeeding, so I'm doing tons of research. You have been an amazing resource!!

Hi Allison and community! In one of the videos you recommended trying to push the cluster feeding into the evening, I wondered if you can say more about how to do this?

    Hey Allison,
I was wondering if you had a review on breast feeding pillows? My friend highly recommended to me the Brest Friend Pillow for nursing. Seen the Boppy pillow and the reviews on it, then seen the butterfly nursing pillow, didn’t know if you had any thoughts towards those items. If you did I’d love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

What are your thoughts on nipple shields? I'm pregnant with my 4th and planning first home birth. With all my babies in the hospital, the nurse's gave me a shield. My milk supply never lasts past 6 months and I'm always fighting latches. Is that shield helpful or harmful?

My little one is 2 weeks old now. Our biggest issue during week 1 was my milk took a full week (or longer) to come in. I never woke up with "rock hard" breasts, felt engorged or experienced any leaking. Being induced and ending up in an emergency C-section had a part to play I'm sure. Plus my little guy just did not want to nurse at night, too sleepy and kept losing weight. So the pediatrician had us start to supplement with a bit of formula. A week later, we are still supplementing, mostly at night since he doesn't like to nurse for longer than 8-10 minutes. There have been times where I nurse and nurse and he still is crying. So my husband offers him a bottle which he drains and is finally content. How do I start to get away from this cycle? I'm attempting to pump but only get 0.5oz typically per session, which I do 1-2 times a day.

Jessica, you would greatly benefit from a visit with a lactation consultant! It sounds like a more complete history of you and assessment of your baby would be the best to point you in the right direction. Is there someone local that can help you? Maybe the hospital you delivered or a private practice IBCLC?

4.5 weeks here and nights are still hit or miss! Some nights it seems like her witching hour is 1-4 am! She is definitely not a comfort nurse baby and does not take a pacifier 😭

Ugh.. it can take a while for sure to get them in a good night time routine! And some babies just do their own thing regardless. Hang in there!

When do we need to supplement with formula milk in case there is really low milk supply?

If baby is not gaining weight appropriately. Check with your LC and paediatrician!
