  • An Alaska village has been devastated by the impacts of climate change, highlighting the growing threat of global warming. Rising temperatures have accelerated coastal erosion, melting permafrost, and increased flooding, forcing residents to relocate as their homes and infrastructure are destroyed. This disaster is a stark reminder of the escalating environmental crisis driven by global warming, which continues to disrupt vulnerable communities and ecosystems worldwide. Experts warn that without immediate action to curb emissions, more areas could face similar destruction in the coming years.

Every country and individual has some negative impact on climate change, and the biggest impact is doing even the small stuff that makes a big change. What we buy and how we throw away our waste does make a difference.

@@calisingh7978 Tell that to the neo-Cons who forced China to take up rapid growth as a means to benefit from the America First dream of controlling a system of globalised autocracy which favours the asset wealthy and has decided that the layperson by unwritten law is just a cash cow.
Your comment misses out a massive part of history, specifically the rise of Western capitalism.

I know a few people who think a 28,000 cycle is the issue. It's amazing what Heartland and Fox have done to the average conservative.

A leftist would see a buoy on the ocean rising and falling with the tides and incorrectly conclude the buoy is what's causing the tides.

@@scottekoontz Soon they will be trying to convince people that permafrost shouldn't have settled on flood plains. Their madness has no limits.

They are going to have to move the buildings and houses further inland away from the shoreline.
    Simple fix.

And there it is. The really stupid big oil fanboy comment. The way the term 'Permanent Frost' flies so easily over your head one would think you were standing in a ditch with crap in your ears.
