I attend a minimum of 12 concerts a year. I have for over 10 years now. Parkway Drive is by far one of the best bands I have seen live. Best frontman I have seen since Hellyeah back in 2016. I got to see Parkway Drive in LA the other night with Memphis May Fire. I have to admit I was there for MMF, I really had no idea who Parkway Drive was. Holy $ht, I can't stop listening to them. If you have a chance to see them with MMF, don't hesitate, GO!!!

I was first introduced to Parkway Drive in 2008 by a band member who was a total Core kid,and dismissed them as another metalcore band, although good, they were just breakdowns and catchy riffs. 10 years later i revisited the band and am COMPLETELY blown away by how fucking good their last 2 albums are and the evolution of the band. They've grown up, theyve matured, endured losses, gotten married and made lifes for themselves, of coarse they're going to change!! After watching the documentary on them i have so much more respect for every single member. Parkway is leaving their staple on the METAL map, not metalcore not any other sub genre. As Winston recently said in an interview, they will be known as Parkway Drive, not a generic metalcore band thats been forgotten with time. KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK GUYS!!! WE FUCKING LOVE YOU!!! See you August in San Diego in the pit!!!!
I never even heard of this band, until I heard The Void, on the radio. I looked them up on youtube and now I'm s fan of their older and new music. They'll gain more fans, just like Metallica did and they're still selling out stadiums throughout the world.
I conceived my baby girl the week i saw parkway, when she died at birth this was was the last song i heard, this song means so much to me i know shes rocking in heaven. A memory that lasts forever.
The thing I like the most about this band and specifically this song is that the vocalist are well blended into the instruments. I often see that American or western metal bands often focus too much on the vocalist, but c'mon the instrumental part is what gets me going... This vocalist is not too much, or not too weak either. He featuring this vocals well with each instruments. Very good mastering and mixing.

I see a lot of people saying this isn't parkway drive cause they changed there sound I dont necessarily agree but it does suck how a lot of there earlier music isn't picked up on as much as there past 2 albums great shit boys. Music aside, I think this videoclip deserves far more views and credit. Neal Walters has done a fantastic job with the videography, I always always come back to watch the video when I wanna listen to this song.
Yeah 'confused' is the right word. Not in a terrible way, but think some of these songs need to be listened to in the context of the whole album, not just as singles.
Lyrics wise, everything seems to be good but the songs still lack something, I don't know if it's aggression but I think it's more to do with the tone of the guitars. However, towards the end of this song where there's a little guitar line before the breakdown, it kinda sounded familiar, which I liked. The thing that concerns me though is that Winston said on IG that what the band is capable of in the way of playing ability is "irrelevant". Now coming from a frontman, that seems like a very careless way of looking at it. He's essentially saying that the bands talent/potential doesn't matter. Which means there might not be much creativity in the instruments for the remainder of this album.

I'm happy for myself I'm not "that PWD fan who doesn't like em anymore". I'm their hard fan since 2007 and I still love and appreciate them the same way I did before maybe even more. But I consider it's because back then in '07 I was 15 yrs old and got a bit different taste in music and during all the years I grew up, not just as a woman but even in my preferences music included. I went through a lot of genres and I think they feel it the same way. Everyone sometimes feels an urge for change and I defo agree with it. So that's why I still love and listen their music frequently (as I can say it's every day :D), really doesn't matter if it's some 'Reverence' thing or 10 yrs old piece.
Catchy af!! This album is truly a masterpiece! Sure it's not as heavy as their earlier works but the orchestral work throughout the album along with those Headon instruments and his vocals, show how far this band has evolved and matured!

That's how it started, but people like you are spreading the memes without knowing anything so now everyone thinks that Nickelback makes the worst music ever made by man, which is not true. They make ok music, some of their songs are above average and I even like a few.
@@billkill37 most of their songs a mediocre and just happen to get awards because the fit the genre of music the people who decide the awards like. Ever seen a metal band at the music awards? Of course not because the people who decide who wins dont like metal. You can even watch some youtube channels about the band and their music itself is heavily the reason, the bands attitude is just the stamp on the case. The biggest issue is for 1 cd they sounded different and in the cd they mad a song about how a girl looks better with "something" in her mouth.

Music aside, I think this videoclip deserves far more views and credit. Neal Walters has done a fantastic job with the videography, I always always come back to watch the video when I wanna listen to this song.

Yeah 'confused' is the right word. Not in a terrible way, but think some of these songs need to be listened to in the context of the whole album, not just as singles.
I actually think this is what makes PWD. I find them to be one of the most versatile metal(core) bands ever. Imo they never had a bad record.

Lyrics wise, everything seems to be good but the songs still lack something, I don't know if it's aggression but I think it's more to do with the tone of the guitars. However, towards the end of this song where there's a little guitar line before the breakdown, it kinda sounded familiar, which I liked. The thing that concerns me though is that Winston said on IG that what the band is capable of in the way of playing ability is "irrelevant". Now coming from a frontman, that seems like a very careless way of looking at it. He's essentially saying that the bands talent/potential doesn't matter. Which means there might not be much creativity in the instruments for the remainder of this album.
Everyone loves Parkway Drive...except for Parkway Drive fans.
This shit is fucking garbage for Parkway Drive. Shit started going downhill after Atlas. Deep Blue, Horizons and Killing With A Smile and everything before will always be the best Parkway Drive.

I'm happy for myself I'm not "that PWD fan who doesn't like em anymore". I'm their hard fan since 2007 and I still love and appreciate them the same way I did before maybe even more. But I consider it's because back then in '07 I was 15 yrs old and got a bit different taste in music and during all the years I grew up, not just as a woman but even in my preferences music included. I went through a lot of genres and I think they feel it the same way. Everyone sometimes feels an urge for change and I defo agree with it. So that's why I still love and listen their music frequently (as I can say it's every day :D), really doesn't matter if it's some 'Reverence' thing or 10 yrs old piece.

Catchy af!! This album is truly a masterpiece! Sure it's not as heavy as their earlier works but the orchestral work throughout the album along with those Headon instruments and his vocals, show how far this band has evolved and matured!
Parkway Drive hasn't "evolved" as everyone is saying they have. They are simply changing genres. That's their right, and they can do whatever they want, but let's not sugar coat it.
