I did it! jesus... I was soo afraid to damage the battery... but nope! I'm on the cloud Recovery, and didn't forgot the DATE AND TIME. don't forget guys... before using Cloud. fair warning... the cloud will take awhile, so sit down and relax
Great speed for its size. I recommend it for the Surface Pro 9/10 or Dell Latitude 7440. 5k read speed and 4.9k write.

I did this and it wouldn't connect to the wifi... Kept saying can't connect try a Chinese server. I actually had to take it out and put the original as card back in.
I installed this but my games won’t start up and crashes, I’ve downloaded all of the bios and drivers from myasus armoury crate and windows
Do I need to move what's on the original Rog Ally's storage to the cloud or something? We have games installed on the Rog... don't want to lose that by replacing the storage SD card

Yep! WD offers Acronis but you'll have to figure out how to connect both drives at the same time to the console. Since its windows there aren't that many limitations on what you can do

Now mine keeps booting back into the BIOS even after doing cloud recover

No. ASUS themselfe provide information how to upgrade your ssd.
What temperature does it run on rog with and without heatsink just bought the ssd
Can you run Crystaldiskmark on the Ally? I currently have the Sabrent Rocket Q4 2tb, but looking to jump over to the WD SN770M 2tb as I seem to get stutters with the Sabrent..

Does the 2TB variant also fit? I heard that some nvmes are too thick to fit in some mobile devices... Especially the large ones since they have chips on both sides
It physically fits I'm currently having issues downloading cloud recovery

Is it compatible with steam deck or only with the asus one?
Yes the hard drive will work in anything with an nvme slot like the steam deck
It'd be nice if the controllers were detachable like the Switch.

Yes with the retailer but ASUS doesn't void it for a ssd change

Since you're doing it brand new, you won't have to set up anything. But I just got mine today too, so I wouldn't know what to tell ya

@@gtrscort1 I first set up, then after finishing the essential set up tasks. I swapped the SSD out.

The tech savvy people who own a rog and would be willing to do this upgrade. "OMG just say "the new ssd" the word vomit is making my hair crawl."
I'm happy that new companies are now making 2230 size m.2 drives in higher capacities for ROG and Steam Deck etc...but good gravy guss just say the product name once at the begining, put it in the title of the video, and then use basic generic English to reference it from that point forward. Also fire your writing guy for being stupidly redundant.
