1:30 correct me if I'm wrong, but when you popped InfiniTeam the board seemed to give you two choices for the portal: front or back. The gray frontline portal disappeared when you switched the Sivir into the backline portal, which might have been considered "locking in" that portal. If this were true, maybe if you had swapped the Pantheon into the gray frontline portal, that one could've been locked in instead of the backline one. Edit: Seeing where the 5 InfiniTeam portal appeared, it seems like, upon building the trait first time, it teases where your two portals will be. I still think it might let you choose which of the two portals to start with. Try testing to see if it works that way.

The portal is the trait input Effect, it just shows on the last unit you put in to make the trait active. It has no impact on the trait.
