- Many were hoping for a full redesign of Honda’s Mid-size truck, the Ridgeline, for the 2024 model year. While the full redesign did not come, the Ridgeline did see a refresh and the addition of a new trim level. In today’s Vehicle Visionary video, we will look at the TrailSport trim level to see if it makes the Ridgeline better than ever.

Too bad. The lack of sufficient front ground clearance is the ONLY thing that I don’t like about the new RIDGELINE. Also, when will it be available as a regenerative hybrid?

This white all-new 2024 Honda Ridgeline Trailsport pickup should be my daily truck.
Just bought the Trailsport a week ago. Putting a Traxda 3in lift with a 1in sub frame drop in it, replacing the rear springs with better ones and adding a TUNE M1 overland camper. Removing the spare tire and adding an elec system also in that area. Solar on top, and all needed gear to get away! Thought the Ridgeline deserved a little more so we're going to do it ourselves!!!

How were the Grabber AT-Sport tires in terms of noise? I currently have Grabber AT-X tires on my ranger tremor and those are annoying as heck. High pitch howl from 30-70 mph
Do you think the different TrailSport suspension added to the smoother and quieter ride compared to other models of the Ridgeline?

I'm getting one myself. Did alot of looking around and research on most mid sized trucks.😊
US black edition does get ventilated front seats and heated rear seats too.

I want a 2024 RTL with brown or cream colored seats. Right now, I want to avoid dealer markups so I’ll probably wait and get one slightly used
I think it looks nice. I am interested in buying one, although it does lacks LED lighting in the rear tail & plate lights. . LED lighting throughout the cabin. It need ambient lighting inside the armrest also.

Great review! I have a 2008 Ridgeline RTL-E I bought in 2010. Has 175k miles and still runs like a top. I love the Ridgeline and am struggling to let it go and get new when it’s still in great shape. Nonetheless there have been a ton of features I’m missing compared to the 2008. Would love to see a review of the White Black Edition 2024. 👍🏻

The olny thing i don’t understand about the trailsport is the orange accents in the interior. The orange doesn’t even match anything lol.

I do not go, off-road, and looking at all the updates from my 2020 RTLE, to this new trail sport as much as I like the little updates, direction in the mirror, volume knob, etc. There’s not enough for me to buy a new truck at this time
The only people that say that this is not a truck are the ones that are jealous they don't own a real truck and they should also realize if this is not a real truck the Toyota doesn't have any trucks at all a 4-cylinder turbo in a truck you just go buy yourself a little car and buy a trailer much cheaper than buying the Tacoma and way better on gas and the tundra is a V6 but it's turbo as well which means will not last reliability gone right out the window and we don't have to say anything about Dodge Chevy Kia Hyundai Ford we already know those things are all junk they have been for a long time and that was never a secret go to the vehicles you buy if you only want to keep them for 3 4 years then you can sell them to a sucker and go buy yourself another new one very sad but very true good video
This is a very nice truck, however, I will be looking the best buy for Senior who will not be going off road.
I think it looks nice but I would have liked to see them keep the RTL-E instead of replacing it with the Trailsport for 2024. Maybe wait until 25/26/27 MY for a proper "trailsport". This feels like half way there for an off road trim plus the RTL-E was a really popular choice for most people. It was the "Limited" equivalent to other brands. I wanted an RTL-E for 2024 but now Id have to bump up to the black edition. Problem for me is all of the piano black trim on the pearl white looks.. odd. Almost like it clashes with the flow of the white color. Chrome looked better here IMO at least on pearl white.
All of these midsize trucks are approaching 50K now which is crazy.
If they put in the new engine 285 HP. it will need high test gas.in the 2025 ridgeline.
Is the Trailsport handling different from the others on the highway? Seems that if they tune the suspension more towards offroad then there's going to be some sacrifice in highway driving. I wouldn't want to sacrifice that, especially for offroad tuning that really isn't anything. It doesn't even have the 1" lift that the Pilot Trailsport has.
Great video! I pickup my new trailsport, in modern steel metallic, on Saturday up here in Ontario Canada. Sticker price up here is $11,000 more for same truck, and we don't even get power fold mirrors😮💨 on the trailsport. You have to go up to the black edition for that feature. Other than that, it's a great vehicle and i look forward to my ownership.
Honda Canada customer service says the Trailsport has free Navigation like the U.S. models but I can't find it anywhere. I think you have to get the Black Edition. Do you have it or is Honda Canada making us buy an expensive subscription to get it? Think they would know their own product. I can always use Apple CarPlay.

So what specifically do you want to see in a major overhaul? A 2" lift? Bigger more modern infotainment system? 10 speed auto? Yeah I'd like that plus 2 more inches of rear leg room and a 5'5" bed. I don't care if it fits in a garage or not. I think Honda has some pretty solid turbo engines in their Acura line too they could use here.

Bet you’ll miss the features the Ridgeline has that the Tacoma won’t. And you might check out the Black Edition for all the top of line features. JMHO

I just bought my brand new 2023 Honda Ridgeline sport for 36k.... I looked at Toyota Tacoma first and I don't see what all the hype is about.... Taco was more money...and smaller.. did not ride or drive as good as my Ridgeline...

you're living in the past man. I'd rather be there also. I bought my loaded Dakota in 1996 for 16k OTD. Those days are long over... Sadly during the FJB era 46K is cheap for a pickup.
Sad no RTLE for 2024, this TS is not a replacement. Not everybody likes the red seats and high gloss black from the BE. Honda clearly trying to woo the younger demo...

@@MARGARETDAQUILA-c6g No, there's no lift like the redesigned pilot got. All Ridgelines are the same clearance as each other, and as before.

Honda wants 50 $K for the blackedition version 😮. So unsatisfied by these prices . Nothing is really different that matters. This is 2024 now. The first quarter of the year is almost over. April - June needs better options for the follow-up product of the next generation Ridgeline trailsport version production. Does honda check the COMMENTS. I repeat does Honda care if the sales shoot to the roof. GIVE FUTURE CUSTOMERS THE opportunity to personalize the accessories to build a better modern style model. It's a few small pieces that can enhance the look and size of the truck. Bigger wheels and tires package needed. Panoramic moon roof also. More ground clearance. Plus where is the ELITE model Ridgeline trailsport... the blackedition version is been the same since 2017. Basically the trailsport edition is a top trim edition actually.

Where are you getting your intel?
I doubt they will make a redesign 1 year after a refresh. I was at the OC Auto Show in California this past fall and Honda rep told me the new Pilot-esque redesign for the Ridgeline is still a couple years out; Passport is getting redesigned first. So it makes sense that they would do the refresh in '24 to hold people over. Also, the Pilot doesn't need higher gas, why would the Ridgeline?
The Ridgeline is on my short list for the end of 2024. Probably the TrailSport, but will consider the Black Edition as well. I don’t like the chrome on the RTL. I like the look of the Sport, but not enough features. I am considering all midsize trucks. I will also consider some 1/2 ton trucks (base trim, lightly optioned).
the polit engine is high test gas with the 285 HP. the 2023 ridgeline is still reg. gas with the 280 HP. ENGINE.@@Stephen0000
