    Ive owned three of these and numerous other trucks Ford,Chevy,Toyota etc. The ridgeline is a solid made truck that will last hundreds of thousands of miles. It's no off roader, but the AWD system is excellent and can tow/haul like any other midsize with an extremely comfortable ride. Is it flashy no but this engine is tried and true and will last unlike the newer Fords and Chevys. Toyota adding a turbo to the Tacoma was a huge mistake.

    2500 miles on my 2024 RL BE. This is my 4th RL in 19 years and my 24 is definitely the best so far. Pleasure to drive, great ride, nice stereo, the trunk, center console, love it.

      More interior space. More payload. Bigger compact bed. Better ride. Better mileage. In-bed trunk. Naturally aspirated v6. Unless needing to tow or go off road regularly. Why would you buy any other mid-size truck?

    • @revilsdr
      @revilsdr 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Ccd-c6d At some point in your life you have to make a decision if youd rather drive a reliable vehicle that gets the job done or drive something poorly made because of how other people will perceive you. Ford and Chevy do not make quality vehicles anymore and with Toyota going to 4cylinder turbo on the Tacoma, the Ridgeline will definitely outlast any competitors in the midsize category. These trucks are all well over 40k now I want something that will last beyond the last payment, I'd take the non truck.

    I'm not sure why the interior hasn't been updated in the same fashion as the Pilot. It seems like it would simplify parts and manufacturing for them, but maybe they need to run through some parts inventory first? Either way, from what I've read it might not be until 27 that they do finally make that update. I think they're missing out on sales by drawing these updates out so far.

    Why do the review? Every positive thing you have to say is tempered with something negative or quasi-negative. BTW, I bought the new Trailsport a few weeks ago. Absolutely love it. Compared to the Silverado I had before, it’s a much better drive, easier to park, more serviceable… and the list goes on. It totally depends on what your needs are. I just bought a 2024 RLE and really like it so far. For two of us, retired, we could be a one car family. Might sell the Avalon. It really is an SUV with a very useable bed. Tons of storage inside with the backseat folded up and we can still haul our supplies from Home Depot in the bed. Also, a very nice sized trunk under the bed. If you are a serious off-road person or tow a large trailer or camper. No. But if we need to stop and pick up some plants for the garden and some fertilizer on our way home. Perfect!

    I've always loved the Ridgeline since 2017 and even though I have owned full size four-wheel drive trucks in the past, I could always justify replacing them with a Honda Ridgeline based on my use. However, I've always been able to get a used full size truck for less than a Ridgeline. The Honda Ridgeline really holds its value and has a loyal following for good reason. I'll have one soon.

    I have a 24 BE and overall the RL is a great truck. there are a few things i wished they executed better though. blind spot monitoring does not work below 20mph so be careful on your slow merges. adaptive cruise control is not stop and go and does not work below 25mph. the front parking sensors are only in the fron corners so i have noticed it wont detect a parking pole and it doesnt detect my smaller car that i have to park tandem with. the vented front seats are a bit on the weak side. the truck bed is not very deep so with my tonneau cover it only has a height of 16 inches... i wouldve given it a 10 out of 10 but these features are done better by come of the competition.

      @sounddoctor5decades 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@d2mini I'll stand by my comment, from 4 months ago, the Ford Performs better for less money, is it as flashy, NO... ITS WAY CHEAPER, BUT IT STILL PERFORMS BETTER. If you're going to spend the money, Buy a Tacoma or a Ranger and get a REAL truck, that will do significantly better than either the Mav or Ridgeline, they are BOTH CARS.

    • @d2mini
      @d2mini 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sounddoctor5decades ok let's break this down. For one, YES... I haven't driven a Mav, but I have seen some vids where it performs very well off-road. Not debating that. So when you say it "performs better" and that's what you are referring to, then we are in agreement. At least from the little bit I've seen. Other than that... you are comparing a little ute, to a midsize pickup, based on a mid-size SUV. Two different classes. Other than off-road capability, where mind you the Ridgeline is no slouch considering its roots and low ground clearance, the Ridgeline does perform other pickup duties better. The Ridge's bed, although a bit shallow, is wider and longer, able to hold a full sheet of 4x8 material flat. Also has the massive trunk in the bed. The Ridge can tow 2.5x more than the Maverick. If you have backseat passengers, like kids, the Ridge backseat room/comfort beats every single other option in its class, and blows away the maverick. The Ridge also has those awesome fold-up rear seats for even more cargo capacity. The Ridge has the better engine, one of the only V6's left. The Ridge will be more reliable. No other "real truck" will be as comfortable to drive. And as I stated earlier, the interiors are in completely different leagues. If you need to save money and don't mind all the cheap plastic and small size, then the Mav is a cool option. But they are two entirely different vehicles. And you've really missed the point of the video and the Ridgeline. It's a pickup that meets all the needs of most people. I'm looking at buying one because I need something that can pick up plywood and 2x4s from Home Depot, take home a sofa from Costco, buy an entire bedroom set from Ikea, bring home a 2nd hand Peleton from FB Marketplace, grab a load of mulch for my garden, take the kids mountain biking, etc... and commute to work in comfort in downtown Houston. Sorry, but the Ridgeline outperforms EVERYTHING else in its class or below for all of that. I really couldn't give a rat's ass if it can crawl over a bigger rock. 😂 I owned a wrangler for a few years and took it crawling ONE time. And I'm not looking to tow anything, let alone something more than 5000 lbs. The Tacoma is wayyyy overpriced and now sporting a questionably not very reliable 4-banger. The Ranger is fine, kinda meh to me, but I'd rather have the comfort of the Ridgeline since I don't really need the extra towing capability of the Ranger, plus the rear seat room and stadium seating in the Ridgeline for the kids.

      @sounddoctor5decades 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@d2mini wow, just go buy the ridgeline, you just spent a whole paragraph justifying your purchase. If thats what you want, go buy it, sheesh. the video is about trailsport, my brief quip was about the mav executing better off road for 10K less, which is a fact. I also mentioned that they are both fake trucks, which also is a fact... that gets the ridgeline folks spooled up. if you want a car with a bed, go buy it, its a free country, guess your one of those that don't take opinions well... my lord.
