Another fishbite tip, If you need to store leftover fishbite for a long period of time, place them in the freezer in a ziplock. I had some in my freezer for 2 years and they were still good.
You should check out Fishgum. It’s similar to fish bites but releases the odor into water faster. Made in Navarre FL. Look the the guy up who makes it had a TH-cam channel called Fishgum

I’ve used shrimp and sand flea fish bites and to me they don’t work that good , I’m still trying to get hold of fish gum and try them to see if they work better, I always end up with regular shrimp and squid or bait fish or crab when can get them , seems like the little bast-rds steal everything I put on or flipper gets free lunch ! 😡

Then before you know it the bait is gone without a tug, just falls off seemingly. So I am wondering if maybe I am using a wrkng size hook. (I generally use between a 1/0 to a 2/0 circle.

Sand flees aka sand crabs (soft shell) are free off the beach and get more hits as a natural food for all surf fish. Use on a size 8 mosquito hook. 😊
You can’t always get sand fleas or atlest my beaches
do you have to use the rig to catch whiting? can fish bites on end of hook work fine without those floats?
I cut mine into timy triangles i try to mimmick the size of a large sand flea egg sac.

Try an abeerdeen hook
🎣 tie bait on with thin elastic bait cotton, thinner is known as ghost cotton!
We use bait cotton for most soft baits 🎣

Try a piece of shrimp with a fishbite on top. It takes awhile for the fishbite to start working.
People swear by fish bites. I'm here in Florida and never catch anything on fish bites. Gulp on the other hand kills it.

No size limit and no quantity limit in Texas. 12 or bigger I'll keep. Biggest one yet has been about 15 inches.

Whenever I run across a fast or slow talker on TH-cam. I adjust the playback speed in the settings
