I definitely thought the movie Ad Astra was pretty good, mostly with strengths in the visuals, but DAMN my main takeaway has been this little track off the lunar launch sequence. So odd how it didn't make the soundtrack in anyway and generally went unnamed. Would still love to hear the original "dry" version that was present in the Ad Astra scene, but this song off of the album is extremely great.
I honestly never thought I'd hear it, I never thought I'd know the name of this song, I thought this song would elude and haunt me for the rest of my days as a sliver of an enigma. Truly a better tune than I ever could have wished for, thanks for finally giving us this gem!
THIS IS IT! Oh my... Me and so many have been asking about this tune since the Moon scene in Ad Astra. Nils, you made something really, really CREEPY! But in a way i absolutely love it!
Half way through this I had literal goose bumps and an out of body expereience. I wasn't even paying that close attention to it at the time. Just gorgeous.
So youre telling me this "slowed and reverb" version is thr original? And the movie sped up the original version? We were lied to BUT..... it was a beautiful lie. Bot versions are beautiful.
Yh it's the same but you can hardly hear the synth that was present in th movie. This seems to have been recorded 100 ft away from the composer and closer to the rocket engine. Not sure why everyone's so excited
After 3 years... it's finally out

Omg exactly the same thought
Nils Frahm is at the top of his art on this one.
It does feels like you're on the edge of Neptune. Love it.
This is the best song of the album for me.
Beautiful textures, ambience and trance melodies.
Different album, different tempo.
Lovely!
This is the unnamed track that featured in Ad Astra!
perfect observation. In movie, the high pitched version is used
@@AnkurNath_Music I have an edit of it on my channel to match the film version if anyone is interested
How do we find that edit you made?
This is insanely beautiful
Nils Frahm has a healing property in his music! Just soothes my soul in the most peaceful way!

Das ist so herrlich deep, hat einen gewissen Ambient Touch, wieder ganz großes Kino, Nils. Ich hoffe, du bist bald mal wieder in HH zu Gast🙂

Are you people all hard of hearing? This is not the track that featured in Ad Astra.
It’s close. It’s the best we’re gonna get sadly.
