Thanks for this comparison. In Australia the LG is $5-6k (but currently sold out everywhere or not yet available) whereas the Benq is $8-9k. Big price difference here compared to the US.

Just purchased the new LG BU53RG.
To my understanding, it’s the same exact model as the BU53PST, but just has an updated IOS interface for users. Also is about 300-500 dollar cheaper which is a bonus. Excited for the screen mirror features it’s going to provide as well

Yes, very similar, almost identical specs! We love our BU53PST that is still up in our showroom!

Just installed the BU53PST and I do notice the washed out look. I did the Color Management step by step in windows 10 and it seemed to help with it a bit. Also turn your black level setting in LG menu to low and it gets closer to what the BenQ shows in your video. Would love to see a follow up video with you guys playing with the setting on both?

@@pchmbrs7 In Windows---Display settings-Advanced display settings-Display adapter properties(pick the projector if running multiple displays)-Color management tab-Advanced tab-Calibrate display..
This will take you through the calibration process windows provides
Projector menu--All settings-Picture-Picture mode settings-Picture options
The only available option with mine is Black Level
Don't hold me to this to harshly but seems that changing the Windows settings that work with the Graphics card should make a difference in gameplay. Haven't tried much in my Nvidia control panel but there may be something in there that could help as well. Even with the settings I did the LG still has a washed out look like I have the lights on but I'm in a very controlled environment. I have Carl's premium 16x10 screen and the Ben-Q projector showing up in the next couple days just to see how good I can get this to look.

I’m pretty sure the benq lk936st is true 4k whereas the lg uses pixel shift to achieve the 4k.
