thats a weird thing, followed your steps but cant have a smooth img (using a different texture, not glossy) there're smoky spots flickering UPD solved. increased samples in the "light mapping" box to 40. takes longer to render but the img's clear and thanks for a tutorial, super useful!

how did you change Light to Shadow Maps (soft ) pls
Click on the light and there should be an option under Shadow
