This used to be on the game company's TH-cam channel before it was deleted. This is a recording of the original.
Mayfair games is the company of the original channel, and they sold all their assets. They sold Catan in 2016 to Catan Studios, then sold everything else to another company in 2018.

Have played scenario 2 several times now, and the maximum points someone seems to get is 11. What are we doing wrong. Any tips

What happend if a boat with settlers discovers a pirate lair? the settlers and boats return to the reserve?

After conquering a pirate lair, does your turn or the movement of your ship end?
Also, can you only search for fish if you are next to the fish shoal?
You can still move your Ships after conquering. No you can search dir fish any time in your movement phase.
Only Discohering a new hex causes ending the movement If the ship, because people need to discover the new Landscape first. All Others Ships of the Turn Player can still move but Not the ship that is Discohering the hex
Who receive the gold compensation for no resources? All players or only the active player?
The Player which would geht no ressorces geht's 1 Gold. It doesnt depend Werther ist your turn or anybody Others turn
From the game rules don’t you pay the gold to the general supply and not the owner of the ship?

It geht's to the general supply Back and Not to the owner. The colour of the pirate Ship is Just to show how has to pay 1 Gold and If its your colour you dont need gold or Rollong the dice and get a 6.
Should not have bought the expansion to much at once, not at all like original Catan
