Cornel Ionita Can i play the knight development card more than one time? like i use it once my turn...Everyone gets a turn, then on my next turn, can i use the knight again?
@joshweaponcollector i think the rules mightve gotten updated with these rules. i recently bought the mobile catan game and it follows these rules (round down; knight can be played before rolling)
there are two things in this video that contradict with the catan rules that came with my game. the first thing is that you said once you have 8 or more cards you have to give half of them back but round DOWN and the catan packet said that you have to round UP... the second one is that you can play a knight card BEFORE you roll while to catan packet says you may play no development card(besides a victory point) untill you roll......but besides that great video thanks a lot! :)
If you look at the building options, sheep really needs to be included to upgrade to a city. How about 3 ore, 1 wheat, and 1 sheep for a city? Problem with the game balance is that sheep is not worth much.
Not really sheep are needed for development cards. Every item is needed for 2 things, wheat for 3. Also in the seafarers expansion sheep are needed to build a boat (which logically doesn't make sense) but sheep are one of the most important reseources.
@@XLRAshon in the base game sheep are the least useful resource. I'll agree that in the expansions, especially cities and knights, they're more valuable but overall the other resources are more important
nice... but u haven't explained the rule with the longest road card properly. The longest road can be interrupted if another player builds a settlement in between 2 segments of that road... in this way the road is split in 2 roads therefore the number of the longest road segments can be diminished by other players that can, in this way, "steal" the longest road card.
As someone who almost always gets the longest road I can tell you how frustrating it is when someone builds a settlement in the middle of your road and splits it in two. Shit sucks
Thanks my family wants to play but the instruction Manuel was confusing everyone so I watched this video and this helps
great video. great explaining! thank you!

yh you round down in most versions. If you have 9 cards you drop 4 not 5 cards.

great but im confused about the city what does it mean 2 reasorces insted of one
If a dice sum matches the number on the tile it produces 1 resource for each settlement on its border. With a city, you get 2 resources instead.
@@F3udF1st thank you for clearing it up for me!
So i bought a knight card...I used it my next turn..Can i use that knight card again my next turn? or its just there to be there until i buy another?

76georginio if you did that the other player will hate you and rob the shit out of you
Kai Cook that’s the point
