    thanks this was very helpful, I went to two different nail salons and both left me bleeding and with damaged skin, so I will do my own nails from now on

      Oh, I'm so sorry you had to go through that in the salons! 😔 It's horrible when after a manicure, instead of beauty, you get cuts and injuries... Unfortunately, sometimes nail techs rush or don't do a thorough job - and as a result, the clients suffer. But good for you for deciding to master doing your own nails! 💪
      I'm so glad my tips were helpful and gave you more confidence. Believe me, with time and practice, you'll be able to do your own manicure as well as, or even better than, in a salon. The key is to be patient, do everything carefully, and always remember that the health of your nails and skin comes first.

    Hello! Thank you so much for the tutorial. I looked everywhere to find that cuticle remover and was not able to locate it. Every one I try burns and irritates my skin so I am very interested in one that does not. Could you possibly post a link?

      Good day! 🌸 Thank you for the question. Regarding cuticle removers, I usually use products with fruit acids or urea. They are gentler on the skin, work quickly, and don't dry it out, unlike alkaline removers. If you have sensitive skin, look for these specifically. Unfortunately, I can't recommend a specific product, but pay attention to professional brands for nail service masters. Carefully study the composition and avoid aggressive components.

    I´m gonna try this out, I'm very susceptible to hangnails, so cutting always leads to them no matter how careful I am, but with this technique I might not encounter this problem

      Thank you very much! 🥰 A perfect manicure is, above all, thorough preliminary preparation of the nails and cuticle. We remove pterygium with an e-file or remover, push back the cuticle, open the pockets. It's best to file the nail shape after applying color or alignment base - this way the coating edge will be clearer. And the final chord - shine and well-groomed cuticle, for this I apply a drop of cuticle oil and gently rub it in. That's the whole secret of a flawless manicure 💅😉 Try, experiment, and you will definitely succeed! Inspiration and creative success to you! ✨
      @fatimaparciagarrido4338 Greetings! 🌺 I really sympathize with your problem, ingrown nails are always very painful and bring a lot of discomfort 😔 The technique of pushing back the cuticle instead of cutting it really helps to avoid injuring the nail folds and living tissue. Also, for home care, use softening oils and creams, they will make the skin more elastic and help prevent ingrowth. And for correcting the shape of nails, give preference to careful filing instead of aggressive cutting with scissors. I hope these tips will be useful to you and help restore the beauty and health of your nails! 💕 Take care of yourself!

    I have used this method without the liquid thing you applied on my fathers toes. He has fungus problem, his protein growth is too thick and cannot be removed easily. Afther six months I can use efile on them now. 😅

      It's great that you are helping your parents take care of their nails 👍 However, if there is a fungal infection, I do not recommend using removers or any other cuticle removal products. This can exacerbate the problem and carry the infection deeper. Instead, consult a dermatologist. For local care, special oils with antifungal components, such as tea tree or eucalyptus oil, are suitable. They will help soften the affected tissues and slow down the growth of the fungus. The main thing is regularity and patience. The healing process can take several months, but the result is worth it! Good health to your parents!

    Is filing and shaping afterward only applicable to fibre gel? I get lifting on the free edge if I file my nails at the end of application (I use rubber base or builder gel as my foundation); in my situation do you think that I have a product issue or a prep issue?

    • @annakobnailstudio
      @annakobnailstudio  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      When it comes to filing the shape after applying the coating, this applies not only to fiber gel, but also to other materials. If you experience lifting on the free edge after filing, then most likely the problem is either with the preparation of the nail plate, or with the application and curing of the materials. The base should be selected for the type of nail plate. Builder gel is not suitable as a base because it is a hard material and has low adhesion. After filing the shape, seal the edge with a top coat and there will be no lifting.

    can you explain how the filing of the free edge doesn't affect the top coat? i'm afraid to file after top coat because i feel like i'd experience lifting at the bottom. i do my nails every 3 weeks

      Could you please rephrase the question?

    • @annakobnailstudio
      @annakobnailstudio  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      Actually, proper filing of the free edge after applying the top coat won't affect the durability of the coating and won't lead to peeling. The key is to follow a few simple rules:
      Before applying the top coat, always seal the nail edges with base coat or color. This will create an additional protective layer and strengthen the free edge.
      For filing the edge after the top coat, use a fine-grit file (240-360 grit). Coarse files can damage the coating.
      File the nail edge carefully, without excessive pressure and only in one direction. Don't "saw back and forth" as this can cause the top coat to peel.
      After filing, always treat the nail edge with a buffing block to smooth out the cut layers of coating. This prevents lifting and peeling of the top coat.
      From my observations, if you carefully seal the edges before applying the top coat and file them using the correct technique, the coating will easily last 3-4 weeks without any issues 💪 I always file the free edge after the top coat myself - it gives the manicure an elegant and well-groomed look ✨
