    Is there a lot of difference in equipment set up for android (edge screens) and the flat iPhone displays. I've been looking at equipment today and only now understand why most people only repair the flat iPhones, no one in my local area will touch the Samsung curved edge screen replacement. So I'm guessing there will be different techniques and equipment needed for the screen differences. I've actually been surprised at the costing of some equipment. Not as expensive as i first thought....

    • @MrPhoneDoctor
      @MrPhoneDoctor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No difference except molds. Flat phones are much much easier than oleds. A lot of it is technique and skill. We have been repairing for 3 years now.

    Brother, easier way than laminating the screen (for those who don't have HW required to laminate) you can use LOCA glue and UV light :)

    • @carl-henrikkristoffersen2313
      @carl-henrikkristoffersen2313 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately, there's a lot of bad quality LOCA glue out there, which will start to bubble after 6-9 months. So make sure to get high quality glue.

    Do you think a electric frying pan set to 85c for separation would work? Tooth floss for string looks like you are using that. I have a one off job and having a proper separator machine would be overkill for me. I might try boiling the screen on low temp with pure alcohol to see if it separates, dry it off with a heat gun what have I got to lose?

    Wow your skills are unbeatable with the hot plate and the disconnect from the glass and Oled screen. I am from Germany and I have tried it at 5-8 oled screens .. but everytime I catch the polarizer ... Do you have a good tip for me, how do I get under the polarizer ??

    • @MrPhoneDoctor

      @StakobyHd 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mr Phone Doctor
      Yes you are right. Practice creates masters. I'll practice diligently 😁 & but can you answer a question? You start with the wire on the top left. Then you pull the wire down on the left, so that it slowly moves from the left side to the right side Along the curved side. or do you put the wire above horizontally on the complete side of the Polarizer to finally get it evenly under the Polarizer?
      Hmm video course sounds interesting. how much would the cost?

  • @xavierbento1973
    @xavierbento1973 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Wooow I really liked your video. I was just wondering what temperature did you use with your 2 in 1 Vacum LED separator ? I have one and used 80 degrees C but it doesn't seem to be enough to separate the LCD of the glass without slicing the polariser

    • @MrPhoneDoctor
      @MrPhoneDoctor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thx so much temperature should be fine. Where are you cutting polarizer. You need to thread the wire under the glass on top part make sure wire does not clip it.

    • @xavierbento1973
      @xavierbento1973 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrPhoneDoctor Well basically, when I use that plastic pryer at the top corner like in your video it doesn't seem to pry the polariser and I end up putting the thread but it's not on the glass . Maybe I am doing something wrong. That would be great if you could give me some tips on how to do it.

    Hi Mr Phone Doctor!! I was just watching this and now I have question I hope u can answer. I brought my 10 month old S9+ to a repair shop today for glass screen replacement. It had 82% battery life when I left it there but when I came back an hour later to pick it up, it was completely dead. I asked if the screen replacement process drained my battery and he said yes. But from watching what u did here, I don't see how my battery was drained within an hour. My question is, is it true or possible that my battery went from 82% to 0 within an hour during screen replacement? How?
    Thank you very much in advance!
