Okay, Zhang may have lost, but what I saw when I watched the match was an incredibly clean, very competitive set of tennis where both players refused to budge from an extraordinarily high level of play. So Jannik edged out towards the end, but both were ripping beautiful shots back and forth. For me it was neck and neck the whole time and Zhang should be proud of his performance🤩
Honestly, I saw a slightly tired Sinner, the day before yesterday he played two games in a row, then the very tough match against Struff. I don't know, I hope he can recover the energy to play a good final match.
Incredible accuracy and power from Zhang and Sinner. Only a couple of players can match Sinner's raw power, Zhang is clearly one of them. If Zhang continues to improve, he will go deep into Wimby.
@@Psyfertospsb I agree with you that Zhang has a lot of talent and that hitting the ball so hard and precise is in itself a very hard achievement. But I would say that it is not quite enough to "nearly defeat" the world number 1. Zhang certainly didn't make it easy for Sinner, but he was never even close to winning this match, sinner just controlled and then, when the moment was right, went for the throat in both sets. If someone came close to defeating the world n 1 that was Struff yesterday (tiebreak in the third).

I understand when people say this is less interesting but gee, the technique and power are just spectacular.

Agreed. Good luck trying to break this Hurkacz on grass. Let's hope for a sensational match tomorrow, and I'm excited to see what today's 4 will do in Wimbledon.
Sinner is becoming a monster, that's all I can say. Zhang played probably his best match all year and still lost in straight sets. However, what I saw from Zhang today really impressed me. I might have to keep an eye on him just to see how consistently he can bring this level, and he definitely was not intimidated by Sinner at all. One of the best match on tour so far this year.

I don't know, I think he's got a very good shot. He's an excellent grass court player and hasn't dropped a set all tourney, indicating he is in great form.
You can't beat Sinner playing on his terms (aggressive, pure baseline power tennis). If Rublev can't do it, the others can't as well. All week long, Sinner was up against that type. Everybody played very well (Tallon, Fabian, Struff and Zhang), but Sinner is the best power tennis player in the world and found the way. - Sinner has had a great grass tournament in preparation for Wimbledon. - Sinner v Hurkacz is the final we’ve been waiting for tomorrow. - Hurkacz will have a career high ranking of No. 7 come Monday.
Wow, Zhang put up a good fight! Definitely one to watch on tour. Hubi was dominant today. I think he had more variety in his shots and Zverev would benefit from mixing it up a little and coming into the net more often.
