    Check out the Knafs Lulu here:
    Raw Magnacut - collabs.shop/kbibff
    Black Coated - collabs.shop/rnykyl
    Also our editing program at 9:15 really must have wanted us to start doing vertical videos.

      Welp, that’s obviously a price people will pay, but I think I’m out of the knife community due to inflation. I own plenty of magnacut and cruware already. Glad I bought it while Trump was in office. I quit.

    Firstly, Lynn Thompson is going to come for you for that big knife comment!
    Secondly.. you guys are awesome. Just two guys who love what they’re doing and are kind enough to share that with us. I took one look at the Lulu and thought “nah, not for me” but after hearing Ben explain it.. I’ve just ordered one.
    Love your work guys. Never stop!

    This video is great... There are a lot of people who gatekeep camping, and make arbitrary rules about what camping or "bushcrafting" is. The idea that camping is a game, is great. Like Ben said, we have a house, but we choose to go out in the woods (as remote or not) just to have fun, relax, and do things that we enjoy doing.

  • @SteelHex
    @SteelHex ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Awesome! It’s surprising that you also found that a knife at 3” is ideal for most bushcraft tasks.
    I agree with everything except the micro bevel. To me the advantage of the scandi grind is the mindless ease of sharpening. If you’re putting a 30° (micro) bevel on it that requires careful or controlled angle sharpening, you might as well use a high saber grind and improve the slicing ability of the knife. Make it work much better for food prep. As you said, you’re not batoning with it, so no need for that scandi profile.
    Hopefully you take this into consideration, and create a version of the Lulu with high saber grind.

    Being a Folder and Balisong guy, I'm ashamed to admit I had not really heard of White River until about a month ago. Then I got it in to my head that I wanted to start edcing a fixed blade....
    Long story short this will be my 3rd knife from them now. I started out with an M1 Backpacker, then the AdventureCraft, and now the Lulu! I've been wanting to Support Ben but recently found myself focusing on made in the US products. So this just fits the bill perfectly.

    love the direction you're goin Ben. the lulu is a sick knife for people just entering the outdoor knife life. if it was me i would not have jimping, and instead of microbeveling the scandi, a convex from the top of the scandi line would have made this knife perfect. the handle looks great and the size is excellent.

    Reckon it has gone to a stage where Ben need not to explain anything about his creation. It just sells itself, it's an Apple but in Bushcrafting. Like we've always said in the pass, whatever Ben touches, it turns to gold. So......people let's give Ben 3x "what....is up.!?". The Lulu is up there with Izula & Aldris for sure. Cheers Zac & Ben from Australia.

    The "big knife can't do small knife tasks" and vice versa is usally more of a sliding scale. Everyone has to indivudually choose where the priority for the particular knife and task sits. However... It has to be said that I feel that a large/long knife does have a slight advantage (in tasks where you absolutely have to have the length).

    I really like your videos and i'm just a guy from the internet, so i just say my oppinion... I totally agree that this type of knife it is what you need, because as a person in the nature, you beed to make shelter but also it is good to be able to make also fine work, we talk here about relaxing hicking and as long as we are not in a bad scenario, when you need to chose long term items, the it is so corect to take with you, one axe, for a lot of tasks, even food, one bushcraft knife like this Lulu, and in my humble oppinion, for cooking more vegetables, one opinel nr 8, it is just perfect blade. It is not so big weight in the backpack with this tree items...
