Hammond, owner of the town's stagecoach line and a leading citizen, is opposed to Idaho becoming a state, and kills Randolph Meredith, owner of the town's newspaper, for endorsing it. Meredith's sister Barbara (Linda Stirling), expert with a bullwhip and pistol, dons a black costume and mask and becomes "The Black Whip", dealing a blow to Hammond and his gang each time they perform some heinous act in their efforts to keep the town, and their power over it, unchanged. Aided by government agent Vic Gordon, Barbara confronts Hammond in a final showdown just as the town votes on whether or not to accept statehood. - บันเทิง

I'll be 69 this month & I never thought I would ever see a female good guy in an early western series except for Dale Evens & a couple of others later on down the line but the Black Whip went above & beyond great lol.

Thanks for this gem. will be inspirational to girls and will instill respect for women in young men. Defintely beats the modern 4K crap on modern TV - the utterly brain washing/brain deadening hogwash.
Lots of fun, and Linda Sterling later got a master's and became an English instructor at a small college. She kept that career separate from her movie life, but some students might have had odd thoughts about their teacher.
Linda Stirling taught English literature at the school and probably wouldnt have mentioned her movie life but they began showing edited versions of her serials on television. She would spend a period talking about her years as a model and a movie actress. Her husband was Sloan Nibley, a Republic scriptwriter.
Interesting he was able to give his entire speech, and advance the story, before dying.

Wondering how this fits into (any) Zorro continuity. Were she and her brother his cousins or something? Must admit I'm not up on the Zorro comics.
None. Copyright issues on using the character, so they recycled the name (it just means "Fox" in Spanish) and had no other connection with the story line.

Don Daredevil came out in 1951....They used stock footage from past serials. Man With the Steel Whip was the last serial to use the Zorro theme.
