I'm not sure whether to be mad or impressed at the Italian man who was LITERALLY raking in thousands of dollars a night. Great video as always Julian :D

I live in NZ and throwing coins in fountains is thing that mainly tourists do here. Sometimes there is a sign saying where the coins will be donated.

I probably gave a quarter or two to fountains as a kid, and always felt like a chump afterward. Making imaginary “Wishes” felt like superstitious baloney, even as a pre-teen.

The water wasn't actually a fountain but the Karma was good...

Good old Senator John Faulkner, who was always ready to ask the questions no one else thought of, and then they said, "Oh yeah, why's that then?"

Jumping back and forward between two different countries in one script is impressive videomaking. Love this channel for the Melbourne content - always makes me appreciate this city more and more.

When I was a kid used to take the coins that I could reach out of a public fountain.

My sad experience at the National Gallery is that most of the coins are coated in grime from being left in the water for months or years. The banks might still honour them, but most of them probably aren't going back into circulation.

Australians states have a law " theft by finding " which has been used to prosecute people for not making the attempt to locate an owner of found goods.

Great video as always. Glad that the money is usually going towards good causes.

Julian, with so many of your videos, it's like you reached into my mind and gabbed those random thoughts I have always wondered about but never researched. Another nice one, Mate.

Julian's B-roll of everyone recognising him in Melbourne must be hours long by now.
