    This was super helpful, and gives me an idea if I can do everything I want to with my son on our upcoming trip! I am pretty good at using genie+ but I have constraints on our trip needing to leave for the airport by 4:30 pm, and having to manage my 8 year old not always willing to be flexible. I put the times you were able to accomplish in a spreadsheet and I think it might actually be possible to do most of the rides my son says he wants between 8am-4:30 pm! We will be there on a Sunday in June. Thank you for this perspective!

    Nice job on the video, that's a LOT done! The LL modifier was a game changer for us on our visit a month ago. One thing you mentioned was being careful to not get stuck by parades/fireworks. Do you have recommendations for the better areas to go during those times?

    • @InAMagicalMood
      @InAMagicalMood  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you so much! Glad that strategy worked for you too! In general, Main Street and the castle are areas to avoid during the parades and fireworks, as well as the area in front of Its a Small World. Sometimes the more popular rides can have shorter waits during those times, so we’d plan on staying in one land without trying to cross to the other side of the park.

    Hi! Your video is so helpful! If you had one day using genie+ and park hopper which park would you recommend starting at first? I have 2 kids 7 and 5 who love thrill rides and we’ve been to Disney World to take into consideration. The day we go DL closes at 12am and DCA at 10pm..Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

    • @InAMagicalMood
      @InAMagicalMood  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks so much for watching! If we only had one day, we’d start at DCA (we have a video showing our strategy just like this DL one), if you head back to Pixar Pier, you can get through a lot of rides with little to no wait. Then use Genie plus for the rest of the big rides at DCA and hop over to Disneyland anytime after 11am. You can also book Lightning Lanes for Disneyland before you park hop as long as you’ve used your DCA ones already. Have a great trip!

      @InAMagicalMood  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi! As of now, at Disneyland, only the name will be changed for Genie Plus. The system is changing at WDW so we’re curious to see if or when things will change at Disneyland. Thanks for watching!

    There were a couple of times it seemed you had booked a genie+/LL when you already had one booked. Can you book more than one at a time? Newbie question! We are visiting from overseas in May. We have 1 day in each DL & DCA with Genie+. This vid was really helpful thanks!

    • @InAMagicalMood
      @InAMagicalMood  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks so much for watching! You can have a Lightning Lane from Genie+ and an Individual Lightning Lane for Rise of the Resistance at the same time. Otherwise, we will sometimes cancel out or modify Lightning Lanes to get a better time or to switch to a different attraction. You can also book a new Lightning Lane as soon as you’ve scan into an attraction, so it may have seemed like we had several LLs at the same time. Hope that helps!

    Personally, unless I am at the very front of the rope, I would skip Pan and head to Alice or even Snow White. For me, it's worth it to get up early enough to be first in the park. If you are the first to get on Pan, you can hit every ride in Fantasyland pretty quickly.

    • @InAMagicalMood
      @InAMagicalMood  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We totally agree, the line for Peter Pan fills up really quickly at rope drop, so heading for those other attractions is a good plan if you can’t get near the front of the crowd. Thanks for watching!

    Hi, do you think is a good idea do the mickey and minnie railroad first at rope drop??

    • @InAMagicalMood
      @InAMagicalMood  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi! The line usually stays short for the first couple hours that the park is open, so it may save more time to rope drop a more popular ride like Space Mountain or Indiana Jones. It’s also nice to enjoy Toontown in the morning when it’s not so busy, so it’s not a bad choice for rope drop either.

    This was the best video of genie plus I have ever seen!!!! This helped me out so much!!!! I think I won’t be able to use my DAS anymore so now my family and I will have to go this route .. I’m not familiar but I got so many questions answered in one video! Thank you so much!!! My only question is, can I book a lighting lane ride at DCA for example , BUT I am inside of Disneyland ? I am an annual pass holder and I wouldn’t have any ties to hotel or anything. Just entering Disneyland as a normal pass holder but now I want to book “monsters inc” (but I’m still inside Disneyland ) can I do that?

    • @InAMagicalMood

    Idk if I missed it, but what day of the week did you do this? Do you think rope dropping Peter Pan on a Tuesday would still be 20 minutes long? I’ve been planning on rope dropping Peter Pan since it’s not included in genie+ but I didn’t think it would already have a 20 minute line at rope drop

    • @InAMagicalMood
      @InAMagicalMood  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! This was filmed on a Saturday. To be honest, this is still one of the shortest wait times you can find for this attraction unless you are staying at a Disney hotel (which gives you early access to the attractions). Once the rope drop crowd fills up the queue, the wait is usually 45-60 minutes all day. Fingers crossed the line is a little shorter when you visit! Thanks for watching!

    So if i understand how the plus works we can only use it once per ride correct..?

    • @InAMagicalMood

      Yes, when you select an attraction with Genie Plus, you will get a specific return time. After you have used that Lightning Lane, you cannot select the same attraction again, but you are able to wait in the Stand By line as many times as you’d like. Thanks for watching!

    • @InAMagicalMood
      @InAMagicalMood  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Thanks for watching! We agree it’s a little confusing since Disney renamed the system. Genie Plus is the name for the entire service but the return times and places are called Lightning Lanes. It made a lot more sense when everything was just called FastPass.

    • @everlindaishmael342
      @everlindaishmael342 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @InAMagicalMood ok so are you saying genie plus is lighting lane and lightning lane is not an extra charge?

    • @InAMagicalMood
      @InAMagicalMood  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Genie Plus is what Disney calls the entire program, although it doesn’t really include any other services. Lightning Lane is the service you pay for, there are two options. Regular Lightning Lane covers most attractions and is one fee for all those attractions. Individual Lightning Lane is purchased just for Rise of the Resistance or Radiator Springs Racers, and those can be purchased separately from the main Lightning Lanes. The wording is very confusing but we hope that helps!

    • @everlindaishmael342
      @everlindaishmael342 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1
