corridor of agony is a pretty good card that stops your opponent from making combos somewhat, it also locks them out of attacking which might be an issue if you dont open with the battle destruction trap, i usually run it at 2 copies
I run the Lv8 Spiral at one just because of the format. Even with Skill Drain and other Floodgates, Bystials and Kashtira can throw out monsters bigger than Megalo and the Token. It gives you something to beat them down with. I toyed around with running 1 equip spell and the Hand Rip one isn't that bad tbh, you'd never run multiples though

You could also drop in ODL Kairyu-Shin with Electric Jellyfish and A Legendary Ocean for the Umi Control variant.
