16:9 OLED LCD Image Burn Fix Stuck Pixel Burnt In Icon 1 hour long

- Note: USE THIS ON 16:9 Ratio Screens To Avoid Damaging Your Screen. If you don't know your screen ratio size, make sure to research it before you use this method. This video should be put on full screen and there should not be any black boarders on top, bottom, or sides. Set screen to NOT turn off or NOT go to sleep. You may repeat the video if needed.
This video is to help get rid of burned/burnt in images/icons on your screen. This is not guaranteed to completely fix your issue, but if you have faint burned images or stuck pixels, it should help resolve it. If its heavy burned in images then it should help make them less and more faint. Should work on OLEDs and LCDs. .

My brand new portable monitor had a 1 pixel wide full screen vertical line of dead pixels right down the middle, from the moment I opened the box. After 15 minutes of this video, it was stilll there and I gave up hope. I went to the store. When I came back after 45 minutes, the line is completely gone now! AMAZING!!

I started this on a loop before I left my house today. Video had stopped after one run. So I came home to the original burnt in image gone, but with my youtube recommended burnt in instead. I feel like there's a sense of irony in that.

Trying this now on a 55" LG oledB7V with massive burn-in (on red pixels). Nothing to lose, before I throw it away :) You could have added some chillout music or something :D

Turned my screen on today and had massive vertical bands and lines, but no image. Even the on screen menu didn't work. I thought it was completely broken. Eventually I turned the screen off and on and the image was back, but the burn from the bands was crazy (Even though it is an IPS screen). Something was probabl overdriving my pixels like mad. Running this for 15 minutes completely fixed it.

Yea, it depends on display type and how bad the image burn is. Sometimes requires to run more than once.

Am I understand it correcly that this method applies burn in to whole screen size making previous burn in less visible in contrast? This explains black borders warning pretty much.
I am not 100% sure exactly how the resetting process works, but from what I have understood over time is that the change of colors and positions reset the pixels as best as possible and if there are borders then the pixels not covered won't be in alignment with the other pixels being calibrated.
Wish me luck on getting fox logo away from the right corner lol slept few times watching old shows that don’t have widescreen so it also left the left and right lines with the logo ; ; looks like I will never get oled and go for qled. Will update if this works or not for me at least

Can someone explains why burn-in happens on an lcd screen? It happened to me after my pc crashed and then the windows ui was printed on my screen forever.

Tried this on my LG OLED B9 and it worked, the pixels turned back on again on all colors... Problem is that they returned to their stuck state once again after 40min or so.
Guess that's just the organic part in OLED... Warm them up and they turn back on again, but get stuck once they cool down again.
Oh I see. Yeah sometimes some displays can do that.

Hi. Will this help with sparkling/firing pixels? I have a Pioneer Kuro LX6090 which has some white sparkling pixels biased to the upper and lower parts of the screen in certain dark scenes...
It's possible it may help, but not 100% sure. Some tvs have a setting which calibrates the display, you can search in the settings and see if yours has it and try that as well.

Yep, in 15-20 minutes the burn-in was reduced to a point where we weren't sure if the Arenasport logo is still actually embossed on the screen or just in our heads.

Didn't seem to work at all on my 2016 OLED. Maybe I'll run a few more times.
Sometimes it doesn't help extreme burn in or on certain devices. Possibly can help a bit if its done multiple times.

For very bad burn in's it probably wont remove it. It might help make it a bit better but really bad burn ins are usually not fixable like this.

It only wears out the pixels faster, which is a downside, in exchange, you’re getting rid of burn in, so it’s a trade!

Slow deterioration of the organic in oled material can age pixels at different rates depending on colour.
It can also cause a decrease in brightness over time but seems fairly resilient to it now from what I've read. Some sources say 50% reduction over 100k hours but I believe Rringa had a burn in test video showing no brightness change at all over two years.
Take of that what you will, as I'm new to oled but do read about it.

Oh sucks. Have you tried to gently press over the pixel to see if its being caused from some sort of pressure damage? Might not be a frozen pixel but a damaged or dead one.

I played Minecraft lots from PS4 pro on my 55” LG OLED 4K. I never see any burn in for years til I got PS5 and played Minecraft since months. I see burn in from Minecraft’s health bar with lots of heart shapes. Geez! Now I’m going try try to play this video and see if it will remove the burn in. I guess PS5 aren’t designed for OLED TVs?

Hi, no I don't think it would fix an issue like that since that is most likely a flex cable issue or something else and not a stuck pixel.
