- Join me as I set up and review a brand new StealthCam Fusion X cellular trail camera. Trail cameras have come a long was and this years Fusion X is a big step up from the 2020 model. This game camera has some pretty impressive features. Also, I set the StealthCam Fusion up on a T Post Mate sent to us from a viewer.

Hey man! Welcome. Have had a few small issues but overall pretty happy. For the money, I would also look into the Browning camera that we just did a video on. Uses VERY little battery and works really well. Less buggy than the Fusion X, but the Fusion X is a great cam.
@@JoeTheFarmer I got one fusion x I only got 3 pictures in 2 days I got a solar panel for it took it to my land this morning I walk by I front the camera and nothing 😫😫😫😫 what I’m doing wrong help please 🙏
@@7outdoors4life Hey! What is your PIR Delay set at? Sometimes it has a 30 second delay or longer.
@@JoeTheFarmer I had it at 1 minute then hour ago I change it to .30 sec then later I got 17 pic from this morning while I was installing the camera at my hunt location.
@@JoeTheFarmer I have there great signal also! But the camera is telling me to update the camera but I have seen other guys comment that when they did it they never go pictures som

For anyone wondering I didn't give you any sales pitch I simply asked you to see what you think. In response, I will just make a couple points.
The "T" post is a great solution for places like food plots or anywhere suitable trees aren't available and allows you to position the camera to face North-South to avoid morning and evening glare.
Also if the post doesn't drive straight you can loosen the tripod screw and pan the camera up to 180 degrees.
While it is carbon steel that isn't paint, it's actually UV stabilized powder coat so it shouldn't rust.
Even if cattle aren't a concern there is nothing more frustrating than pulling the card of a camera that a critter has bumped, rubbed, or hung on to find it's spent six weeks looking at the clouds drift by.
As to T post sizing discrepancies you are correct and you found the solution but here is a Tech Tip: only adjust the wings enough so they will still require a bit of force to just sit on the sides of the post. That will ensure that when the latch pin in fully seated it will take all the slack out of the set up which will prevent any looseness that might result in rattles or false triggers etc.

I like the T post mount, as I use t post mounts all the time, but struggle with getting them lined up right and then staying in the spot that I set them up at.
It’s actually working really well. At first I was luke warm but now I think it is a really solid tool. Built like a brick too!

I like that T Post bracket. It gives a lot more flexibility to put your trail cams exactly where you want even if there isn’t a tree nearby to hang one on.

What are you using to feed your deer in bulk? I’d like to start feeding more than just corn. Maybe some Big Tine or other protein/nutrients but for $20 a bag that gets very expensive.
Buck Bourbon protein blend mixed with corn. We also feed big tine when we get a pallet discount. It takes an investment for sure; but I am probably more on the extreme side. Put out minerals once every month or so, feed protein/corn blend in a 350lb feeder and that should help but it takes TIME! Will take a few generations of animals to see results. And you can’t change genetics, you can only get the most out of what genetics your herd has.

@@JoeTheFarmer Nope... In Chicago, handguns are illegal yet the murder rate soars... And there is no baiting of any kind whatsoever allowed... But the good news is that food plots are not yet illegal!!! Woo hoo!
Gotta love that logic. 🤦🏻♂️. We can feed up until 10 days prior to a hunt. That’s when the feeders have to go back in the barn. Tennessee is a pretty great place to live. 😁👍🏼👊🏼
We need a comparison video! Also a more informative video on the sol-pack from stealth cam would be cool too!

Thanks Preacher Man! Appreciate that. I don’t really use a lot of video; but they are about average. The photos are pretty good too. Not spectacular but for the money it’s a solid camera with a good warranty. Have had to replace a few over time but it was very simple.

Hey Nano; thanks for watching. Yes, it will capture great pictures. You will likely want to hang it high enough that someone couldn’t tamper with it. And have it set for immediate transmission. The Fusion X has excellent image quality! Just be sure to buy the Fusion X, not the original Fusion. Sorry to hear that man, trespassers deserve the punishment the law hands down.
@@JoeTheFarmer I know we have a chicken farm and have bantamns and they stole our champion bloodline that won in the state fair we have been trying to catch them but can't so we're gonna get a camera to capture them thanks so much your video really helped

My camera taking black pictures at night, batteries new and full what causes this.
Reformat the sd card and try it again. If not, make them replace it. They are actually pretty easy to work with. If you go this route let me know; I have some tips

@@JoeTheFarmer I called and held on phone for about an hour and had to hang up.
I’ve called in the am and had a good experience. When you do talk to them; ask them to ship you a new one when you send them the tracking number for shipping yours back. Simultaneous shipping I think it’s called. Will save a bunch of time if they will do it.

I don't see any point in the T post bracket at all. I just throw two or three zip-ties around it and I'm secure. Seems like a waste of $20
I would agree with you; especially on public land. But it has REALLY grown on me. I move cams a lot and the zip ties are just a bit more time consuming. Watch our recent video on the Browning cameras. They had some mounts and stands that I LOVE. Thanks for watching!
Don't waste your money. The motion detection barely works. I bought 3 of them and none work.
Thanks for watching man. Have you tried calling customer service? The one that we have worked great but just got replaced by warranty. Something internal happened and they replaced it no questions asked. They should work man, and that warranty is there for a reason. If you can’t return them to the store, I would keep pushing on Stealthcam to make it right. GSM’s customer service has been great to work with in my experience. Keep me posted brother and good luck this season
@@JoeTheFarmer Yeah I spent an hour on hold on multiple occasions. We did all the teouble shooting but nothing worked. Then when I asked about replacing them they told me that I would need a receipt. Unfortunately I misplaced the receipt so I'm stuck with 3 non working cameras. Spypoint and Browning have replaced cameras with no questions asked. But not Stealth Cam

This video had NOTHING to do with actually setting up the camera! It was about how to set your camera on a T-post with the T-Mate!!! You should retitle your video!!!!!
