  • New & Improved Trail Camera For 2023! In this video we review the stealth cam DECEPTOR and look to see if this new for 2023 cellular trail camera is worthy of it's $130 price tag. There are many new features for this new model year, but most importantly we want to see how easy the Stealth Cam Deceptor is to set up on the Stealth Cam COMMAND app. We share some trail camera photos from the first month of use and will follow up with future videos if you would like to see more of the Stealth Cam Deceptor.

    Great Video Joe!
    They finally broke ground on the new Tractor Supply in my hometown of Rogersville Al. We’re exited and they are hoping to be open by Christmas.

    Didn’t make a video but bought one three weeks ago. So here is the info you all really need to know. The camera takes pictures almost all day and night. It can be slowed down through settings but it doesn’t catch the deer and game as well. 5 a month for 600 photos. 1000 pictures the first week was forced to unlimited for 20 a month. Test it at home first and test it again when you place it to make sure it’s taking the picture you want. AA batteries 8 of them you will need a 16gb SS card
    It takes patience and it does not set up like it says. Any questions and I’d be glad to help anyone. Btw I’m using mine deep into pines with low light areas everywhere not a field. Once you learn it it’s amazing.

    Love watching the wildlife and the trail cam seems to get those pictures. A wildlife farmer has to know what his herd looks like health wise and how many. The camera is a good reliable investment.

    I like my Stealth trail cams. I have been using Buck Bourbon ever since I saw you using it on a video. It does the job .

    Great video! I've had good luck with Stealth Cams. I have 3 currently deployed. I have a Moultrie that has been my number one forever. The case is very small but it works great. I also have had a couple of WildGame Innovations. They work good and they're cheap but they don't seem to last as long as other brands.

      I miss the old Wildgame Innovations cameras! They were so good!

    I’m really leaning towards a browning cell camera. What is you favorite model?

    • @JoeTheFarmer
      @JoeTheFarmer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The defender pro scout max is a solid camera. And a really good price point. They did just come out with the “extreme” model but I haven’t tested it yet. I’d say get one and see how you like it before getting a bunch of them. Thanks!

    My favorite photo is the turkey. Just took a picture of 2 fawns still spots last week.

      So many fawns running around right now. Need to take out some coyotes!

      Turkeys all day. One thing I like about the camera is I know exact what’s going on and when. Tells other details too. Turkey for you and a Turkey for me.

    I have used Muddy cell cams and the stealth cam command app for years. This year I added a stealth cam FusionX to the arsenals and was shocked to see the $20 a month unlimited fee. Like you, I run a lot of cameras and have cellular cameras through Tactacam, Muddy, Spypoint and have also used moultrie and thats about $8 bucks a month more for the stealth for unlimited. It does take a great pic though.

      Browing has a great unlimited plan not at 14.99 fof the first cam and 9.99 each additional. Getting pricey for sure!!! Lol

    Hey Joe, I’ll have to tell my son about that brand. He’s got a lot out just like you he wants to know what’s out roaming on his property. He was telling me the other day that he was having problems with some of his cameras. I don’t know what kind he uses but I do know he has some browning ones. I will tell him to try that one and see what he thinks.
    Hope you are doing well. Thanks for sharing.

      Thanks for watching! And if he has Browning cameras have him call them to reset them. They had an issue with the cell towers. Had to have mine reset as well. Take care!

      Honestly don’t recall. I don’t think it was…. I usually check for an update before putting in the field though. And now, most updates can be done without the camera in your possession which is nice.

    can you remove the sd card to see the video and pics in a pc??? Or do I have to pay for the monthly plane to see on a cell ph???

    • @JoeTheFarmer
      @JoeTheFarmer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can remove the sd card and get pics. The cell plan can turn on and off but the camera acts as a typical trail cam

    I like stealth, my fusion went bad 2 days ago, and stealth sent me a new on for free, actual stealth support is shit but we went straight to the source, can't remember the name but my ol lady took care of it, I ordered 2 deceptors the night before thinking they wouldn't exchange it but now I have 3 brand new cams, I'm stoked to have 3 cams with 30 days free in the rut, gonna be sweet, hopefully there ad good as everyone says

      I heard there support was not good either, I'm thinking of saving up a little next yr and getting a couple spartan or Exodus, hear they have good support and warranty, 5 yr on exodus is nuts, I think 2 yrs on a cam is kinda average for me, or 3 seasons then I will have some issue, I will spend the extra money to not have to replace a cam in middle of season, like right now my hottest scrap with my big boy hitting everyday is down, Friday solar failed so I switched and next day camera went dead replaced battery and next day it quits, I'm gonna blow my biggest buck in 7 yrs out of my 12 acres, so far I've held him but last night is first time in almost 3 weeks he didn't show, I'm aggravated to say the least, these deceptors was just a temporary cam til next yr but hopefully they will hold up and last a few yr, thanx joe, I'm subscribed now!

    • @troybrake5686
      @troybrake5686 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Will do buddy, I have a solid 10 point on cam like clock work so I'm gonna deploy all of them this yr I usually just run 2 cams cause feed is so expensive and urine for multiple scrape locations start to add up, but with a shooter on the farm I'm going crazy with it, I've not had a shooter in a few yrs on this place so I really want keep an eye on him, I had him in my scope twice Saturday and he disappeared on me in this thick hill side, he day lighted a few times also so it definitely pre rut in KY, also seen a 1.5 yr old checking 5 does that were feeding Saturday also so around 5-7 days the big ones will follow suit, and that seems to hold true here every yr, wish me luck and good luck to you fellas, oh and my spy point SP 22 arrived and it looks really nice, wish me double luck 🤞 lmao 🤣

    How long do the batteries last?

    • @JoeTheFarmer
      @JoeTheFarmer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on how many photos are taken and the settings. This one is pretty good on batteries, not great. I would get the solar pack with it.

    Meh. Stealth cam took a bit of a dive in 2013. Would like to hear how they do. Still using Tactacam gen 1 and a few xb. They’re probably all made in the same sweatshop 😂 I didn’t know you had a son that young. They sure make life a lot easier

      Stealthcam has come a long way. Battery life still doesn’t compare with Tactacam or Browning. And the little man is 11 now. Waiting on his growth spurt! Lol

    Keep you receipt for when you need to return it. Mine sent 900 photos in one day of an empty yard. Wasn't on time lapse. Maxed out the plan I paid for. Did research on this brand and there's ALOT of complaints. POS if you ask me.

    • @JoeTheFarmer
      @JoeTheFarmer  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Fair enough. Only negative so far for me is a lot of battery usage. Really needs a solar pak with it.

      Yours took 900 pics bc you were not smart enough to clear branches and leaves and the wind triggered it nonstop

    This company is utter garbage. If you change credit cards like I had to, you can't even get past the "update credit card" screen on your account. Which means you have NO access to ANY settings, plans, etc. without FIRST paying them MORE MONEY. I want to use my camera now WITHOUT a data plan, but I can't even do this. Utter GARBAGE and crappy service to the customers that have already paid for their cameras and data plans. Basically, they're ensuring they've got you hooked FOR LIFE of your camera. I will NEVER, EVER buy another product from this company AGAIN.

      Are the pics not on the sd card??? I do it all the time with cell cams.
