Sir, it was a very nice lecture. However, I believe the problem that we don't understand cannot be solved simply by evolutionary computations. We need to make fitness function available to the computer and for that the mathematical understanding of problem is a must.
Apairently he haven't seen enough "sci-fi doomsday" moves like: "2012 a space odyssey", "I robot", "Temrinator",... where the "good" robots get "bad" and tries to kill everyone, like Skynet. we would not have a single chance if they could evolve!
