Great video. I appreciate the fact that you took the time to explain the small details.
@@paulp6909 thank you so much! We tried really hard on this one and although it's not perfect, we also don't have a big company budget to do this so I really appreciate your support
Great video. Thanks
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing this 👍
I've been wondering for months how you figure out where the roof opening should go, and all I could think of was some kind of really long drill, and I was thinking, that seems liked tos simple an answer 😄
You nailed it, the simpliest answer is often the best.
I start to love my solatube after I removed the bottom piece that diffuses the light. Now I see circles of light and feel I have real sunlight.
Thats super cool. I have seen some other customers do that for the same reason.
Good job
Thank you so much, that mean a lot!
good job guys
thanks so much!
Great video !
Thanks!
I am Tahir I will also work doctor pipe and pipe fitting last 15 years in UAE I need a job like this
There are a number of Solatube dealers throughout the US and the world, where are you located and I can help you get in touch.
I live in Southeast Texas, where would I find a dealer/installer in my area?
I like it
thanks
AT 20:07, you say the tube was cut short...so was not long enough (I suspect); but then the video cuts to finishing the work. How does the top connect to the tube if it was "short"? thank you!
The extension tube length needs to be extended
In the closeup you can see the screws didn't penetrate the inside tube and instead just pushed it out. Kinda defeats the purpose
Could you share where im the video that is. Thanks
@@brennanrmorrow at 14:47 you can see at least one of them, if you look up a bit I believe you can see two of them. This was actually helpful for me as I realized you need to pre-drill the holes on these to avoid that problem.
I would like to have a Solar tube installed. Where are you located?
Central Oregon, how about your self?
This was done on Central Oregon? I was wondering the whole time. I thought Arizona maybe. Flagstaff area where they have trees
@@fleischpflanzerlmitsenf Yes Central Oregon on a nice summer day!
Try this " 30 minutes installation " in Europe 😅
Donde se puede comsegir estos tubos oponerme encontasto
¿Dónde te encuentras? Te ayudaré a encontrar un distribuidor local. Nosotros estamos en el centro de Oregón, y hay distribuidores en todo el mundo.
How did you account for the incorrect tube length?
We just needed do a little wiggling to get the top tube assemble to sit correctly and adjust the flashing a bit.
I could still see the gap after you installed the top piece.
@@ardwyer5199 Good eye, we just had to spin the tube about and get everything seated correctly. I was a reasonable run, and they can get a little finicky.
Do you have or know if thee is dealer for this solar in Saudia Arabia???
I am not sure myself, i believe there is. You could call solatube international and check
Anywhere in America because I need job
Ho mw to off light, when i need dark
@@jahidshuvo7760 there's an add-on called a dimmer unit that can be added

Hi
How much price
The price is relative to which size product, which one are interest in?
You didn't any Personal protective equipment for your safety
They had plenty to get the job done safely. There will always be an OSHA wannabe like yourself that think you need all this extra safety equipment. Sometimes extra equipment gets in the way and turns safe into unsafe if your keeping up with me. Just enjoy the job and the video, he didn't need to make this for us.
@@joshscholl2219 fall protection is only needed when you fall. Good philosophy!
You must not do any actual work. The team was using PPE through the entire process. As an expert I would have expected you to see that they are on ladders, and roof ladders through the entire process, unless they were traveling, in which case they were doing that. Question: What OSHA certification do you currently hold. These installers all hold a wallet of safety cards.
30 minute install? Yeah, I don't think so...
Hi, yes install in 30 minutes. Some take a little long or shorter. record time was 13 minutes. After tens of thousands of installs, its gets pretty fast.
Yeah, in the USA, not where houses are made to last. I envy this "versatility," but I feel safer inside the bricks one.
I need this solution, but I'll have to drill a little bit more...
@@brennanrmorrow Nope. I call bullshit. Post a video of you start to finish from the time you knock on the front door to the time you are finished. GOOD LUCK!
@@billymacktexasdetective5827 Believe it or not, if you follow the system in the video consistently-installing 3 to 9 units a day, every day-you’ll start hitting those faster times on many installs. Our fastest time? 13 minutes and change. That was a two-man team on a manufactured home for a contractor who wasn’t even there, meaning we had a few slowdowns along the way.
We counted our install time from the moment we grabbed the tools from the truck until the unit was fully installed, just outside the front door. (At least, that’s how we measured it.)
Now, let’s be real-speed doesn’t just happen. You need:
✅ The right tools
✅ The right materials (Solatube Brand)
✅ The right knowledge
✅ Consistent practice
For me, when I wasn’t pushing for speed, I usually landed around 45-50 minutes per unit. If the day got crazy, I’d pick up the pace, but toward the end of my install years, I wasn’t really chasing records anymore.
And now? I’ve sold the business. No more time trials from me! But if you put in the reps, stay consistent, and dial in your process, you just might beat my best. 🚀
Would love to hear your best times-drop them in the comments!
@@brennanrmorrowRespond with lengthy comments that tout your skills, blah blah blah, I don't care...
You aren't installing one in 30 minutes from the time you walk into the house and the time you put away your last tool. Show me unedited video of you doing it and I'll concede you are correct. Since you can't, I'm going with what I what I know to be true, not your outlandish claims...
Also, you'd have to be moving at break neck speed to get anywhere close to 30 minutes. If I have a contractor working at a frenzied pace in my house, they'll be shown the door. I'm interested in quality, not how many jobs someone can get done in 1 day...
