Antoher reason why one might pick cali over the gym is enjoyment. Working out in the cali park on a nice summer day with friends is infinitely more enjoybale for me than working out in a gym.

Training in a park with either friends or strangers is more interesting to me. It feels like going to a park 🙂

In my opinion, basics like pull-ups/dips should always be considered or used for most people in training, and in general, calisthenics or just the basics are great for general strength and fitness as it is incredibly useful to have mastery over your body.

Can you do a simplified video on basic calisthenics stuff a bodybuilder can add into their workouts, that will eventually help them perform skills like muscle ups, dragon flag, etc?

Besides Jeff Nippard you are one of the guys who has the same height as me 😅 so is it possible to gain the aesthetic with calisthenics alone? How often are you eating? Im new to this calisthenics but so far i was 195 and now im 185 and aiming for 150-160. Also what do you do to maintain? What’s your calorie goal intake per day?

Good video mate! I've been doing calisthenics for around 5 years now and i still cannot do a front lever or even a handstand. my max pushups is only 30. i believe there are many reasons for this and i am trying to figure out why. because it is extremely demotivating seeing 14 year olds achieve planche in under a year.
these are all the reasons I dont progress that i can name off the top of my head.
eating too many of the same foods. (oats for breakfast and afternoon tea. have been doing this for a very long time!)(lack nutrition)
not eating enough. i sometimes only eat a large breakfast and a large dinner. (i feel very hungry before dinner each day)
    over training.
training for endurance not knowing that that wouldn't help me gain much strength.
not drinking enough water. ( i only drink 2 glasses a day MAX) (rarely more than that)
thanks again for the tips in this video!!

to test for overtraining do not train for a week and see if your numbers go up
if they go up then you were overtraining if not then you probably were not

Don't worry, my max pushups is 43 and I've been working out for many years. But I don't care, i train for aesthetics

I debunk this I built plenty of muscle in jail whilst doing nothing but dips/chin ups/ pushups etc

Calisthenics can't be the right recipe for everyone. I'm a former skinny kid who tried to switch to bodyweight training and lost a lot of muscle. Trust me, i was doing hard exercises like weighted ring dips and similar, but at the same time getting smaller. In my experience, weights are unparalleled.

probably it was easier for you to go to failure with weights, or maybe you just weren’t eating enough. you can’t magically lose muscle.

@@giap8305 Yes but i really couldn't keep up with the amount of calories i was burning, it was frustrating. I think bodyweight is optimal for people who can't get shredded and need to burn fat.
