    I'll remember "no austerity" when we pay more for energy and lose our winter fuel allowance. You can't invest in public services to achieve growth by adhering to tax and spend. Total word salad...waiting for the budget.

      " You can't invest in public services to achieve growth by adhering to tax and spend"
      Not sure if I'm following you correctly here. Where is growth going to come from if government spending is cut? If you cut government spending you cut private sector earnings since that's where public services, workers and those in receipt of pensions, benefits etc spend their money. Yeah?
      If the argument is public spending "crowds out" private investment then that's clearly a lie as we've had 14 years of that fairytale and it's failed even on its own terms

      If you give ordinary people more money they will spend it & that goes back into the economy

      The Socialist model is based on taxation or borrowing used to kickstart public work programs. The private sector is normally crowded out as a result of this government intervention.
      How will the UK increase its public spending with a debt-to-GDP ratio touching 100 per cent, now?

    • @jameslrbrand2002uk
      @jameslrbrand2002uk 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @syedadeelhussain2691 it won't work. Taxation only works so long as you don't drive big business away, and the companies big enough to raise the required revenue are big enough to just leave. Borrowing only works if the market believes that you're competent with money and Labour has a track record of being reckless with public money and has already shown it's not competent with unaffordable pay rises to unionised public sector workers at the expense of pensioners and private sector workers.

I would make national insurance compulsory for all at a higher rate. Increase the tax-free allowance to £16,000. Ask BOA to fix interest rates for a minimum of twelve months which helps people and companies to make immediate decisions.

      Al Jazeera's Investigative Unit goes on the trail of The Minister's Millions to find out how he built a half-billion-dollar property empire - on a thirteen-thousand-dollar salary. Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, a close ally of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, bought hundreds of luxury properties in London, Dubai, and New York, but declared none of them to tax authorities in Bangladesh. The former land minister gives a guided tour of his $14m London home; he owns 360 in the UK alone. Now authorities in Bangladesh have frozen his bank accounts and are investigating claims the former minister laundered millions of dollars into Britain.

    Labour created this black hole ,the tories didnt facter to pay over 9 billion for union payrises and over 11 billion to millibands other countries so called climate change, labour did so who chose to make that 22 billion black hole, yes LABOUR did. You dont fool anybody with it , notice she nor any other labour mention the mess that labour left the last time they were in power, and she wants to drive growth in business but if the vast majority of people in this country lose their help and pay higher and higher taxes and fund more and more illegal immigrants . Then how are people going to be able to buy anything to make that growth? It seems like they are forgetting all about that end if things. You talk about justice their is no justice for any british person who disagrees with you and your policies, those speaking out are labelled far right rascist and fast tracked into prison for speaking out. Whilst islamic extemists get to protest in our streets and try to indoctrinate young muslims to hate this country and preach gatred with no consequences. How is that justice

If they allow more migrants in better check to see what they can do in the building game. Ah I forgot to mention that those very builders and trade folk will send all that money back home, ensuring that we don’t benefit from it. Well done labour, well done. We Are in Unchartered Financial Waters! every day we encounter challenges that have become the new standard. Although we previously perceived it as a crisis, we now acknowledge it as the new normal and must adapt accordingly. Given the current economic difficulties that the country is experiencing in 2024, how can we enhance our earnings during this period of adjustment? I cannot let my $680,000 savings vanish after putting in so much effort to accumulate them.
