      Incredible I wouldn’t think the UK will demand that much A380 service from Dubai especially with BA and Virgin having a strong hold on the market. But then if you look at the US airlines AA, UA, Delta all have up to or above 20 Daily flights each to LONDON alone add BA, Virgin, Norse etc and the US to LONDON market is the most profitable one in the world.

    I have flown London to Dubai on Emirates, London to Abu Dhabi on Etihad and London to Doha on Qatar, all in A380's. Flying in A380 even in Economy is a fantastic experience. With new ULR planes, A380 might not be financially viable anymore but the experience will be unmatched, and if they continue I will continue to fly with them even paying some extra bucks

      Etihad brought back the A380 for the London routes. I think the A380 service will continue for some time. Considering the high demand for aviation and the A380

      The A380 can do pretty ULR routes. Emirates fly a A380 Dubai -> Auckland direct daily, at 14,200 km it's currently the 6th longest scheduled flight in the world. The AKL -> DXB direction is >17 hours scheduled duration. Flown it myself a couple times, a good experience.

    I flew with Emirates last February (LGW-DXB-HYD) the flight was operated by a A380. Really comfortable experience in Economy class. Transit in Dubai went really smoothly as well. The last bit of my journey (DXB-HYD) was operated by 777, you can really tell the difference in terms of comfort between the A380 and the 777. Overall I think traveling on the A380 was one of the most comfortable experience I ever had in economy class. Would definitely be willing to pay extra just to be able to travel on the A380.

    How many twinjets would they need to match that capacity

    • @NaenaeGaming
      @NaenaeGaming ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Based off the A380s alone (EK flying the 2 class A380s to Gatwick and 4 class A380s to Heathrow), they have a daily capacity of approx. 6200 passengers. Using their 3 Class 777s in their densest config, they’d need at least 17 to match that number in terms of pure seating capacity alone, not accounting for premium demand. If we turned the clock back to before they introduced Premium Economy, bringing daily capacity up to about 6500, you’d need about 18 777s.

    • @NaenaeGaming
      @NaenaeGaming ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@arjunhar4866 more passengers is most definitely a problem at LHR. Even keeping passenger numbers the same, EK may end up facing a situation come 2035 where they simply cannot acquire additional slots to replace A380s with 777-9s. The third runway definitely won’t be finished by then, so unless they move more flights to Gatwick and Stansted, which are less convenient for passengers heading into London and also make connecting itineraries more difficult for passengers transferring through Heathrow with less available seats on now smaller aircraft, they’ll either have to hold on to some A380s until possibly 2040, beg Airbus for the A380neo despite the tooling already being in the process of being scrapped by Airbus and their suppliers and engine technology not advancing far enough yet to warrant new engines, or try to convince Boeing that they’re a large enough customer that they should have a 777-10 developed for them that not many other airlines would want and that wouldn’t arrive until Heathrow’s third runway anyway!

    • @JeanClaudeCOCO
      @JeanClaudeCOCO ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s why they’re looking to keep the A380 for the hub and spoke model between India and UK. a smaller plane will cut into that. I can see them keeping those A380s for as long as they can especially with India not granting them more slots to fly multiple 777 or 777x flights in the future. If Air India rises their standards and deliver on their new aircrafts they’ll benefit from newer modern fleet and the growing Indian middle and upper class who want to ride their own. It would be the race to see who can innovate more and deliver service. Tata group has the work cut out if they really want to stem the flow of Indians using Dubai hub and Emirates.
