Before you change the spacer out, get a phone book and heat up the panel while the car is jacked up and then put the phone book right in the middle or the part of the panel where you think its hitting and lower the jack slowly and put weight on it by getting inside your trunk or pushing on it from the trunk. You can use your judgement on how much you want to pull by opening the phone book and not using the whole thing. I did it on my old is300 in my videos and it gave me a clean pull.
