Watching Dave eviscerate liars, grifters, & drooling theocratic authoritarian fascists in live debates & take-down vids is a joy. I especially like the fact Dave doesn't pull punches and coddle these scammers with underserving social niceties & fake respect. These people don't have a right to cloak themselves in BS pseudo-science and flat-out lies WITHOUT fear of being publicly and professionally humiliated. Intentionally lying to the public should have consequences. Thx Dave.

Great comment. Couldn’t agree more. I like that he gets angry, sometimes belligerent: he knows the danger to people’s health and welfare. I’m saddened that our current age does not punish people when they lose all credibility. They should be ignored or exposed and humiliated. But there is no shame anymore. In one sense, Trump allowed this more than anyone else. He bragged about assaulting a woman and still got elected. Shameful. An indictment of our democracy and/or educational systems? Sorry to ramble.

Never heard of Professor Dave, but, wow, what a great interview. One thing I would add is that I think many people cling to creationism because they have never encountered the concept of emergent properties. Emergent properties is the idea that behaviors emerge from complex systems that cannot be predicted from the properties of the components of the system. These emergent properties come from not only the properties of the components but also from the ways that those components are interconnected. It was the idea of emergent properties that was the last nail in God's coffin for me.

In reality, the question is "How did chemical reactions happen to develop what we classify as "life"? "Life" is nothing more than bio-chemistry and chemistry has been around since the beginning of time.
