Love the verses “Don’t YOU need some time on your own?” Then after the solo it’s “Sometimes I need some time on my own” Very subtle lyric changes on a verse that sounds the same. Estranged by Guns N Roses does this well too. Great song to check out

The word your both looking for is "ballads" that should help you search rock love songs. But you both missed so much not watching the orig video. That is a masterpiece of story telling. You both should go back and watch it because there is some emotions you missed.
Specifically "Power Ballad" is how this would be defined.
Maybe they are already watched the video, but was replaced with lyrics because of the copyright blocks.

Watch the original video , it's a must . You have just missed 1 of the most iconic rock videos ever made . You have to watch the original video to this along with don't cry and estranged if you do them just to understand them properly.

November Rain is one of my favorite Guns & Roses song, which you guys reacted to a live version with Axl on piano and when they play with a full orchestra and Slash playing on top the piano, it’s fantastic!

There's a lot of beautiful and meaningful rock ballads out there from that time period. Skid Row, Motley Crue, Cinderella, etc all have some excellent ones. One of my favorite from recent years is from the band Falling In Reverse named "The drug in me is reimagined". The sound and vocals straight give you chills.
I love listening to this in the cold November rain.

This has another of my favorite guitar solos, not because of the awe-inspiring technical skill (though Slash has that, he didn't show it off as much in this one), but rather for it's emotional resonance. The solo says so much with no words, and for me that's even more impressive than tapping like crazy all over the fret board.

Pretty much every rock album from the 1980s, has at least one "Power Ballad". If the girls don't like your band, the boys don't like your band, so these are a bit necessary. It's like bars that used to have a "Ladies Night". The point in ladies night is to bring in more guys. The guys come for the girls.
The song BJ is thinking of is “Patience”. U guys should do a video. That is some of the best music ever made. I’ve watched so many of y’all’s videos. Led Zeppelin, Guns, Queen, etc etc. The greatest rock musicians came from the 60’s-90’s.

I know I'm late to this reaction, but I'm glad you chose a lyric video over the official. Often reactors get so distracted by the images of the video they forget about the words and end up getting confused as to what song is about. Better I think to listen first then watch after.
When this first came out it surprised many people because it’s different from what G&R usually put out. If you take out Axles voice most would not guess this was G&R.

what makes the music video for this even more impactful and oddly creepy in a way once the trilogy is taken into account is the bride in the video for this song was Axl's real-life GF at the time of shooting the music video, who just so happened to be one of the Hottest models on the planet.

Hip-Hop is more my thing now-a-days (I'm 30 for the record) but GnR is my favorite band of all time and this is probably my favorite song I've ever heard, and I'm not exaggerating. You two continue to be a light in this world and I thank the powers that be for having found y'all. Beautiful souls.
