I actually never realized how chill and relaxing the zone is, it's crazy how when you played the game you knew its a great game but never really thought about why its good until you actually start to analyze and realize how its purposefully put well together, the music, art design, not too much about high end graphics that the optimization suffers, fluid gameplay, great class fantasy, decent RPG elements, ambient music, diverse zone design, etc, you don't recognize all this when you first started playing, you just knew its great without knowing why
I remember playing a Warrior and struggling leveling in Winterspring shortly after my grandpa died in December of 2013 on a Vanilla WoW Private Server. I sat there killing ghosts by the lake and I got an Axe of the Deep Woods level 52 Epic Axe. I knew things were gonna get better for my life after that, it was a good sign in a dark time that things were gonna get better.
It's a beautiful zone, love the crunch of the snow. It can be a pain to travel in a few spots, like the entire frostsaber area, but overall it's a fun zone. My first ever char in 2005 hit 60 trying to get a yeti horn, so theres a nostalgia to it as well
This reminds me of how much I love and miss classic WoW. Zones don't need epic stories or be over the top, they just need to feel natural. I love this channel and how you cover old world content. Got yourself a new subscriber.
I've always thought snow in video games back then was special. Mostly because we got games which had no snow in them like gta vice city and san andreas. Although, that one snow mission was cool which was a throw back to gta 3 you take a small jet flight to.
Any class with fear, stun, self heal or similar abilities and a bit of preparation can get through the furbolg tunnel without dying , which is basically every class. Some might need extra consumables or certain trinkets
What...? How would 1 really know the differences ? I cap there in 05 vanilla ... Turtle WoW most be using a none replica then ? it as the 100% accurate vanilla look with the weather elements etc , Project Ascension P-server as that weird bootleg-ish look to the vanilla areas, tho that server fun ngl , that what u mean by replica , it's a emulator replica?
Winterspring sadly was kinda unfinished, but the atmosphere was realy dreamy. I spend there many hours back in classic, simply watching the snow and looking around
Favorite zone , definitely a perfect area to level cap 5:50 always wanted those older Elf model to be playable in vanilla , i remember a 15 or 16ish year old YT video called "WoW Funeral" . A mix of dark extremely messed up and sorta humorous . It's a actual Funeral at Wintersprings
when i quited retail wow almost 4 years ago cause shadowlands was a last straw for me i left my rogue that i have been playing for years here in winterspring this was most memorable location for me when i first time played the game back in wrath
That's incredibly kind of you! I haven't created a patreon because I don't want people giving me a monthly donation when I don't have any perks to give yet. If you do want to just buy me a pint or something as a one time thing, I put a buymeacoffee link in my about. But of course I am perfectly content with the view. Cheers!
I gotchu bro I’m sure more work goes into these than anyone can appreciate. Bunch of lore I wouldn’t even know where to begin tracking it all down. 2 pints on me merry christmas

This is cozy! I liked ancient warcrafat lore reference. It's easy to forget this game was once cool!
Beautiful zone. Made so many trips just to chill in everlook and chat in /g.
Loved the shots of the zone, great retrospective!
@@ryank2463 thanks Ryan!

Max Payne, also some of these games really did color palettes well, GTA including

Since you're asking: you forgot to mention the frost saber questline :P
You can tell it was captured on an actual Vanila engine and not a pathetic replica of it because it is actually snowing in Winterspring and Dun Morogh

@@joezar33 blizzard relaunch of classic wow is made on retail engine and it never snows in those areas i mentioned

I've always liked Winterspring and prefer leveling to cap there rather than in Eastern Plaguelands or Silithus.
100% Agree, perfect spot to 60 cap , like a Vanilla tradition for me to cap there lol
you and Patrician TV have made some of the best wow videos there is recently, decent analysis is hard to come by for whatever reason
@@Ar1AnX1x my algo hasn't put them in front of me. I'll have to check out!
@@Ar1AnX1x oh nevermind they have that's the like 10 hour video I just haven't watched yet 😂

Nice!
How did all the folks get to everlook?
Did they go through timbermaw hold?
@@hansolowe19 I guess it's either that or a summon!
Then how did the summoner get there?

one of these days you gotta do some dark souls videos too
20 minute video of Winterspring and not one mention of the E'ko. SMH.
Typical Alliance player.
I’d love to make a small contribution. Don’t see a patreon on your page
